west yokrshire police have not been sent to london (as have some of the rest of yorkshire) for this reason
I know west yorkshire havnt but the news said north yorkshire have sent officers didn't say how many tho

Got a phone call from work while I was in the caff saying I had to come back, get my stuff and get out of there by 1pm at the latest.
Discovered that if I'd left 15 minutes later yesterday I'd have been caught up in the violent looting of the garage and Spar shop that I walk past to get home.
On my way home today a nice young man stopped to chat about what was going on. He seemed to think that things in Hackney would get worse tonight as all the other gang areas were going to have to come out and represent.
A nice thing happened last night though. All the Turkish shop owners came out in force to defend Dalston and chased away gangs of youths.

A 'youth worker' was just on the news excusing rioters in Ealing saying they were bored and have nothing to do!!
Kids in London have more resources and things to do than anywhere else in the country. They also get free travel and it's hardly like there's a shortage of free things to do in London, unless of course, you're a stupid thuggish idiot who expects everything on a plate without ever having to work for it.
I also blame rap music.

Couldnt agree more , why the hell the shop owners and residents dont just get together and ride these c**ts out of town i have no idea ! I dont know about anywhere else but if this s**t happened to my spouses house or business i would get a van full of heavies and pick these groups off at random and smash the s**t out of them.
I am incensed at the lack of police intervention it disgusts me , understand that dogs**t chavy scum dont understand words , pleading or negotiations, but what they do understand very clearly with no need to repeat ,is there face being caved in with a shovel !!!
