After a dissapointing display at England's Most Powerful Man I am going to keep a log for motivation and to help me atone for my below par performance.

Thinking back over the last couple of months I have made too many excuses, my training has been s**t, my nutrtion has been worse, and I have been distracted by playing football again. Plus mentally weak and under-prepared.

I had originally decided not to do BSM U105kg as I didn't feel I deserved a place. However, I will use this comp' to drive me on and make sure I make up for the last couple of months. I don't care where I place as long as know my preperation was as good as it should be and my performance on the day is improved from Sunday.

I will also be competing at the Natural Open in August.

Events to train for:

1) Axle Deads: 180kg x reps + 275kg from below the knee x reps (both 75 secs)
2) Log Press: Max on 10" & 13" logs (will train log twice a week with low volume)
3) Tyre Flips: Max reps in 75secs (will use 350kg & 450kg tyres)
4) Stones
5) Farmers Walk: 100kg x 20m & 130kg x 50m
6) Medley: Barrel Carry & Duck Walk (tbc)

Proper training starts Monday, this week will only be resting little injuries, a bit of stretching, shoulder re-hab, and getting my nutrtion back on track.

Great stuff mate, I`m finding it hit and miss getting on the rad power forum will be good to see your log on here and get an idea by how much you will beat me a the worlds come september.

Joni, yeah - mem and Kenny are coming to the Olympic gym soon as he needs to try out the mini-viking events.

Trained at Total s**tness (still no new "unbent" bars)

3 different cable shoulder re-hab exercises 2 x 12-20 reps on each.

Squats

60kg x 10
100kg x 10
140kg x 13
140kg x 13

lower back very tight

Seated ham curls (1st time in years)

65kg x 12
75kg x 12
75kg x 12

lots of stretching

kneeling cable ab crunches (1st time in years again!)

95kg x 10
95kg x 10

Was supposed to be a nice easy "fun" session but everything felt tougher than it should have! Events training on Monday.
