PorkPie | Hats in the gym | 10-11-2009 @ 14:54
Do hugs, not drugs. Member 136, 712 posts SQ 380, BP 242.5, DL 330952.5 kgs @ 110kgs Eq | A good friend of mine was seen blatantly wearing a hat in the gym last night. I was taken aback. To be fair there was no black vest in sight. Can we reach a Sugden concensus on the wearing (or not) of hats/headwear in the gym. I refer to any item that could be construed as such; beanies, caps, bandanas, etc. My own view, for what its worth, is that you should NOT be seen dead in the gym wearing a hat, unless its your regimental beret. I say this as a hat wearer in my junior days who now regrets his actions.

still a devious weightlifting bastard Member 43, 14374 posts | Whilst I agree that the wearing of barnett attire for fashion purposes is very gay, I train at Adders. Adders has it's own ecology. The gym is 4 degrees colder than the car park and thats no joke this time of year. Turner wears a hat and he makes it look good.

Has little understanding of the sugden Member 677, 11338 posts SQ 165, BP 125, DL 220510.0 kgs @ 80kgs UnEq | I thought hats were compulsory if you are ginger, at all times, including in the gym. Normal people however, should not wear hats in the gym.

I see you point it someone is wrapped for artic expedition and is doing bicep curls in a squat rack in a "david lloyd" (do I get banned for mentioning such a place?)

Gone and easily forgotten....... Member 331, 22298 posts SQ 185, BP 100, DL 230515.0 kgs @ 85kgs UnEq | I like training in my hat I look cool and hip, but also edge and "don't f**k with me". Sometimes I shadowbox in front of the mirror, or slick my hair back while standing sidelong onto the mirror, so I get a quick gun pose mid-slick. I don't, really. I wear my hat because my hair is a mess most of the time and I look in the mirror and get depressed so my lifts automatically drop 30%.

Go ! go ! team strengthshop !!! Member 18, 5295 posts SQ 185, BP 130, DL 230545.0 kgs @ 95kgs UnEq | Hmm, I wear a beanie usually, temperature in the Unit is about -5. I think without it I might die. I'm not ginger.

Still mostly bodybuilding Member 501, 10465 posts SQ 220, BP 150, DL 250620.0 kgs @ 94kgs UnEq | I wear a hat when training outside but have never worn one in the gym. Im usually sweating like f**k when i train and am therefore usually hot so dont see why i would need to wear one indoors.
