Really? If I am honest I find that a little bit sad.
I will eat plenty and have the ocassional social drink over the festive period, but i could quite happily leave the drink out of it.
I would rather do stuff with my daughter, or train

totally agree, i will have an odd magners or glass of fizz but thats all, fun with my 3 daughters and wife, games laughter, cheesy films n music and loads of hearty food

could quite easily not even touch a drop of alcohol

each to there own tho

I don't know why sprouts get such a hard time, I think they're bloody good!

Anyway, favourites at Christmas... Mince pies for sure.

Oh and mashing up all the left over veg and potatoes then frying it. I seem to remember this is called bubble and squeak. Tasty s**t.

Not so much the drinking that would stop it as the hangover I guess. My daughter is only 3, and I would rather make the xmas period about fun for her than drinking for me.
I am under the inpression that the regular drinking over the festive is no major change from normal for you anyway Grin Grin

Yeah I can see your point that focusing on drinking as the highlight of Xmas is a bit crap.I'm really looking forward to Xmas. Enjoy your daughter while she's little as Xmas lose some of it's sparkle once they don't believe Grin

Yeah I've not had a night off the drink since October but so Xmas will just be business as usualRoll-Eyes

Turkey and beef with sausages wrapped in bacon. Also mountains of vegggies including sprouts, they're a must. Can't wait, not much gets left!! Happy

How does drinking stop you doing stuff with your daughter or training? Obviously drinking isn't big or clever but I see nothing sad about drinking every night over Xmas.
I will have a social engagement every night from Friday 23rd through to Jan 1st and I expect to be anything but sad!Happy

x2 - I wasn't on about getting blitzed every night but (and I'm surprised at a couple fo you scottish folk here) my family are all scottish and love a drink so when we go round there is always beer flowing!

But do accept the point its about the celebrations and not the booze.

Pigs in blankets.
After eights.
Champagne.
More cheese than I could ever normally justify.

Easily my 4 favourite things at Christmas.

Although having said that, the best bit is not having an alarm.
