If only he didn't have to press the first 2 stones over head he would have been even better. Meybe in a different heat he could have made the final. And did you see that presenter getting all excited interviewing him. Reckon she helps keep their peckers up when they're feeling down?  | ||

He's just too small in build sadly I think. He's probably our best athlete, just could do with being a foot taller and another 3-4 stone of him. Good on him though, maybe there is more to come from him in the future. If only they would lower the loading heights on the stones! | ||

I only think the height thing bothers him particularly with the WSM final/heat stones, in Poland he was quality to a reasonably tall platform. | ||

 Still mostly bodybuilding Member 501, 10465 posts SQ 220, BP 150, DL 250620.0 kgs @ 94kgs UnEq | Ive seen Darren at both the Northern U105 Qualifer last year and the Winter Giants comp in December and hes in great shape and still a pretty big guy but like many have said when hes up against Phister and other big guys the lack of BW is a disadvantage. Thought his performance in one of the toughest heats was awesome last night and even though he didnt get through to the final at least he knows he beat 5 times WSM winner at 2 events. | ||
