Away for the long weekend in Italy so no Saturday or Monday session. Much alcohol and pasta was consumed. Arrived back home at 3am on the Monday night so felt pretty screwed at work all day yesterday.

Anyway, last night's session. Weighed in at 98kg :O

Snatch work
Messed about with weights up to 60kg, pulls, power snatches etc. Didn't feel that great, quads were very tight.

Jerk PB was a nice surprise! All the reps were very clean in terms of lockout, I stumbled about with the recovery on all reps before 105. But the 105 was very controlled, took it slow recovering my feet as it felt wobbly over head. I felt very slow on the dip and drive - didn't feel like I had any power which is why it came as a bit of a surprise! First 107 attempt was an ok attempt but didn't get under it. 2nd and 3rd were no way near. Knees still kinda screwed.

Last night's session:

HB Paused box squats - just below parallel
5 doubles on 100.
ummm probably a lot harder than they should've been lol. Just did these as they didn't seem to bother my knees that much.

Power clean and jerk
90 for 5 singles.
All good.

Snatch work
technique work again, felt horrible.

Hammie band curls
3 sets of 20

Legs feel ridiculously weak at the moment.

Not encouraging. Was supposed to be an easy triple this week and then 215 for a double next week....

Did a few easy sets of abs then called it a day.

Jesus, feel crazy f**ked today. Need to cut my volume down, having a hard time recovering.

Tried the "acceleration" method. Hard to tell whether it was better than my usual form, but I expect practice will be needed anyway.

WL comp this Saturday. Seems a bit pointless given my injury but can't pull out of it.

The 105 was alright. It always just feels like I can bench 110 and no more lol.

Yesterday's match:

Lifting league match vs Crossfit connect

Headed all the way over to Brighton for this one. Weighed in at 98kg with a full bladder and clothing on Embarassed Powered everything to save my knees

Snatch
65 - good lift
70 - good lift
75 - got it overhead but was too far in front as I refused to get under it, so lost it.

C&J
90 - good lift
95 - good lift
100 - same as snatch, had it racked but just lost it. Closest I've come to power cleaning 100.

165 total @ 98.

Pull felt technically good yesterday actually. Went out for fish and chips on the beach with the rest of the team afterwards, followed by a decent pub crawl. Good day.
