Everything above 94 on the hang cleans was a PB technically, although had to pause a bit in the bottom of those cleans. Hang power snatch + snatch 60 x (2+1) 62.5 x (2+1) 65 x (2+1) 65 x (2+1) failed the full snatch behind on this set. 65 x (2+1) 65 x (2+1) Back squats - belted 120x5 120x5 120x5 120x5 first set a bit dodgy but form good on the rest. Definitely got more power in the snatches than I used to. So fairly happy with all that. Here's another 113kg C&J by a 48kg Chinese girl. She came 2nd behind Jiang Huihua (who I posted above) by 1kg as she didn't snatch as much. Got gold in the C&J though as she was lighter. | ||

Cleaned it but was a massive grind so didn't attempt fsq or jerk Messed around with 90 but was terrible. Dropped down but was equally as bad. Front squats, 90 was a grind! Just left it there, the cleans from Saturday have clearly ****ed me up. 0 leg strength or mobility. And I feel exhausted today. Dropped down to 60 and got given some advice on technique to stop overpulling. More "hit and go under" rather than continuing to extend. Really helped a lot. I can see on videos of my cleans that there's a bit of lag time between bar contact and starting to go under so I think this will help a lot. Worked back up to 85 just doing power cleans only and it was much more improved. Hopefully this will help my full cleans a lot more. RDLs 85x10 95x10 95x10 Done. Got dragged into doing a lifting league match on Friday but won't be going max effort. Will train on Thursday as normal. Men's 62 session: | ||

Cleans 90 90 90 92 92 92 95 95 good, really like this new technique, feels a lot more efficient. Back squats - beltless Just did 110 for 6 doubles to try and get some quick work in. Didn't feel that good though, felt really tight and slow... Bit of knee pain today, first time in a while. Lifting league match tonight, will probably just open on 80% lifts or something. Snatch Dodgy warm up, missed 75 twice. 80 - good lift, took a sec to stabilise at bottom though 85 - good lift, better 90 - F, not close at all tbh C&J 95 100 105 190 total. Quite happy with that given the week of training I've had. Took it easy on the C&J, cleans were ok, jerks felt very good. Video should be coming soon. I lost my individual match but we won overall. | ||

Power snatch 70 75 77.5 PB 80 - F, dropped it on my back lol Messed about with power cleans but it was hurting my elbow in the catch (a new injury it seems!) Then did bodybuilding stuff - seated press, flat DB bench, lat pulldowns. If you're wondering why I've been doing random sessions lately, it's because I'm taking a 2 month break after Monday. Plan was to max the snatch today but definitely wasn't happening so I'll have another go on Monday. May max C&J depending on how I feel, but will max deadlift no matter what. | ||

Didn't eat for the 6 hours before getting to the gym, then got out of work late and forgot my shorts to top it all off lol. Could not be arsed with snatches or C&Js so just decided to max my deadlift...lol Deadlifts - (conventional, in WL shoes) 130x3 DOH 150x2 165 hook grip big belt on 180 switched to mixed grip 195 205 215 222.5 - F 222.5 - F Well that was pleasantly surprising...think my best ever conventional was 200kg done years ago. Best deadlift ever is a 220 sumo when I was actually training for powerlifting. Haven't done heavy deadlifts for months and months, then get within 5kg of all time best..makes sense lol. Back rounded a bit on the 215, the 222 only came a couple of inches off the floor on both attempts. Finished off with some curls. Back is pretty DOMSed up today!! Anyway, no training for 2 months! The uni gym was closed unfortunately but I found another one that had bumpers close by. Will try and check the uni one out tomorrow. Down to 91kg BW when I last checked two weeks ago...
