Member 4145, 1331 posts SQ 172.5, BP 115, DL 220507.5 kgs @ 100.4kgs UnEq | Yesterday @ An Kang C&J Did about 10 sets of 1 clean 4 jerks with 40kg. Then 8 sets of 1 clean 2 jerks on 60kg. Coach wasn't bothered with clean, not because I have a good clean, just because the Chinese tend to focus completely on the jerk. My two main problems were leaning ever so slightly back during the dip; should be leaning slightly forward. Second is my footwork, feet need to go out to give a better base of support rather than straight ahead and back. Oh and need to get my head through as soon as bar leaves the shoulders rather than whipping my head back out of the way. The one comment he had on my clean was to go up rather than banging out with my hips (similar to snatch advice). Front squats 80x3 90x2 - failed 3rd, upper back caved! 90x3 90x2 - failed 3rd again 90x3 so embarrassing struggling with 90kg front squats in front of these guys lol. They emphasised really initiating the movement by moving the hips back. | ||

Tried to work on a straighter bar path today, think I made a bit of progress but still lots to be done. Lower back felt a bit weird because of the failed push press that I caught funny on Wednesday, but didn't impact the session too badly. | ||

Really hard for me to correct. Bar a bit far away from me at the start as well apparently so tried keeping it closer and starting with slightly lower hips. Felt a bit smoother tbh. Today @ Formosa fitness Cl Pull, H. Power Cl, Power Cl, jerk Went up to 5 sets on 70kg. Then did 2 singles of 70kg power clean and jerk. Jerks were all over the place for some reason! Clean pulls 110x3 110x3 110x3 RDLs 95x5 95x5 95x5 BTN PP 70x3 77.5x3 77.5x2 failed 3rd 70x5 70x4 failed 5th leg curls 3 sets took too long doing this session. Need to up the pace a bit. | ||

Wasn't caving at all in the receive. I started with the bar a bit further back over the feet and lowered hips a little bit more than was comfortable. Resulted in a really smooth pull and straighter bar path. Will upload videos when I get a chance. Front squats were tough but getting stronger every week. Did 90 5x3 fresh last week and 92.5 5x3 fatigued today. I also weighed myself for the first time since beginning of August and I'm only 92.4kg! Haven't really gained much weight back at all! Need to up the calories a bit, but so hard to keep on top of diet here lol. I guess it's good that I'm still getting stronger whilst staying at the same weight. | ||

Then failed a single on 70. Felt really beat up from Saturday's training. Got about 2 hours sleep on the Saturday and diet has just been awful in general too. So did some bench lol Bench 72.5x5 72.5x5 72.5x5 GMs 4 sets of 8 on 40. Left it there. | ||

Still left a couple of the reps forward a bit, need to get that bar behind my head! The bar felt closer to my body though which is good. Went up to 70 and did 6 singles. 3 ugly makes and 3 misses...may switch back to my old technique. Snatch pulls 85 for 5 sets of 3. Felt heavy. Snatch push press 60 3 sets of 8 | ||
