well to be honest, they should, my 5 rep max is 180kg, but pretty much all of my deadlift work has been working upto a 3/5 rep max, so i was failing alot of reps and not getting any volume in, so the purpose of these is to get a solid foundation

squats tomorrow

i will be doing alot of experiemnting

Wider grip of bar

Bar position lower on my back

keeping my head up and my back as locked out as possible

will be the three main aims of tomorrow with the intent of getting some decent form on the go

concentrated on my technique, my training partner thinks i just need to keep my head up, i think he may well be right, the form was perfect today, but it was a s**t lot better

going by how easy the 5th set of 5 on deadlift looked/ felt,do you think it wuld be reasonable/ worthwile going to 170 tomorrow for 5x5??

i went for 170

got bored with 5x5 with little weights

so i went upto 170 today
