Looks like you're using your arms too much and just pressing it real fast, whilst splitting your legs. Arms need to be relaxed, it's all in the legs until you have to just catch the weight with locked arms.

Right got you, i'm still getting to grips with the actual grip of it too, puts your wrists in such a weird position!

After you've caught it, the bar doesn't rise any higher. If you watch closely, the top guys drop under the bar, then do an overhead lunge with the bar. I try to get the bar to land in my hands as close to where it is before the jerk, so where my clavicles were before I dip under the bar. Having said that, I'm not a top oly lifter - I was pretty pants at best. Reza's WR with 263.5kg is about the same as lighter guys with 200kg. Technique is almost identical.

Gone and easily forgotten....... Member 331, 22298 posts SQ 185, BP 100, DL 230515.0 kgs @ 85kgs UnEq | Good stuff mate, put some weight on. Do your "stand there and think" with your lightest weights only. If you stand there for 5-6 seconds thinking things out with a heavy weight you will probably have difficulty.

nothing to hide, please follow my life on webcam Member 255, 3732 posts | Looks good and positive. Lifters are usually encouraged to recover the front foot first if possible.

Full mask or nasal and chin strap? Member 3254, 2485 posts | Nothing to worry about there Keep practicing... You more you do them the more you'll learn The movement looks fine for a beginner to work from, we all start somewhere Your starting position and use of legs is promising

You mean you've watched me lift yet never introduced yourself!!!! I agree with everyone! They look very good, especially for a first attempt but a vid of heavier lifts would potentially show where the errors would start to creep in.
