badmongo | A Good Log | 07-01-2013 @ 23:15
has experience of quad imbalance Member 3676, 427 posts | As above, i need a good log lol! Wanting to start log pressing and nowhere nearby has a log so think i may buy one. Budget though is tight as always, however im prepared to spent the cash to get the right thing. Im looking for the real deal as opposed to one of the skinny ones that some places do, and want the correct hand spacing. Ive seen strength shop and atlasstones do them. What are peoples opinions on both?

really really interesting Member 3474, 2816 posts SQ 170, BP 120, DL 260550.0 kgs @ 100kgs UnEq | training log is in the region of 45kg, full size is around 30kg heavier. depends on what you can log tbh. i've got a 110 max log so i'd go with the smaller as it's better for warming up on, but if you've got say a 160 log, 75kg is nothing for you either :P

has experience of quad imbalance Member 3676, 427 posts | ive done 60kg on a smaller log 200mm diameter for 12 reps fairly comfortably and thats the only time ive done log. Im guessing a bigger diameter makes it a lot harder though?

Aiming for a 250 squat by the end of 2012 Member 1989, 3168 posts SQ 240, BP 140, DL 270650.0 kgs @ 90kgs UnEq | I would go with the training log. You can always put weight on it. You can't take weight off a 75kg log. Think that the two are the same diameter from jt.
