Happy with 11th considering its my first proper comp with heavy weights! The stones looked very difficult due to being outside and what seemed to be tacky malfunctions so a lot of people only managed the 130 and missed the 140 (you had to go back and forth between the two weights). | ||

another lover of conans wheel Member 1116, 2379 posts SQ 275, BP 210, DL 330815.0 kgs @ 134kgs UnEq | long hard day today but weather helded off n we got through. pretty happy with 3rd. truck pull - 4th deadlift 3rd stones 2nd ( wet, muddy, slippy n on grass made this very hard for all) 190kg carry 4th axle clean n press - 6th (my best event n i popped my lower back on first power clean, did one rep n was in agony n had mark preeces knee in my back lol medley 1st (lot longer distances than stated) col jones was awsome n well worth first. thanks to al involved, helpers, loaders, refs scorers etc. big thanks to mark preece for putting it on. well done to all other competitors. rest n back to the grind, grow n get stronger this winter. | ||

Lost my head after messing up first event and didnt get back in the game till axel press, all the guys who beat me deserved it my performance was discustin frankly. Ursus - i won with 5 reps mate, axel was ment be 130 but we all agreed atleast 140/145, i had 15 secs left after 5th but left it. Sorry to all the guys if i seemed a grumpy c**t im just dissapointed in myself..... | ||

I would like to say a bit thank you to Mark and everyone else involved in the show. As ever it was a proper strongman open competition with no compromises, just as it should be. On top of that there is always a good crowd and really good atmosphere. As Nial says the axle was heavy; however, the real killer is doing it after several events. The medley at the end was a beauty, a real test of fitness and grip. Again, thank you Mark. | ||
