As seen on t-nation Member 8, 192 posts SQ 170, BP 125, DL 220515.0 kgs @ 85kgs UnEq | Yeah food logs are a really good idea. See what mineral and vitamin deficiencies you can spot from them as well. Realistically you should try and log all aspects of training, you get so much more out of the whole process.

Gone squatting Member 12, 386 posts SQ 250, BP 155, DL 260665.0 kgs @ 90kgs UnEq | Tokar - i've never kept a food diary before so i can't say for sure, but i think it was somewhere around 3500 calories. However i wasn't nearly as strict with my eating as i am now, the diet is much cleaner these days. Vegan - you said it mate, G.F.H. Its depressing seeing your numbers go down in the gym, so time to do something about it. Harris - It is a great idea, like i posted earlier, after only two days of doing one i saw an immediate problem. I'm also keeping track of how i feel each day so i can link what food make me feel good for the gym, what doesn't, etc.

left the country satisfied Member 10, 19241 posts SQ 240, BP 150, DL 270660.0 kgs @ 107kgs UnEq | i think one thing what often happens when you clean your diet is that the calorie intake drops already from removing a lot of convenience foods with a lot of "hidden" fat which pump up the calories. You eat loads more whole foods and healthy stuff nowdays right? Thats no doubt good s**t, but building your diet from good 'ol wholefoods tends to reduce fat intake, and increased fiber intake, also often leads to increased water intake if you eat more fresh veggies and fruit which can be filling as well, but not very calorific. for 99% of the population this is good news, but for us meatheads its not. Anyways, you have your head screwed on so no doubt you will crack this dilemma. Any help you need, give us a shout! (mental note: take couple days food log...)

Gone squatting Member 12, 386 posts SQ 250, BP 155, DL 260665.0 kgs @ 90kgs UnEq | Yeah, i agree. Cutting out a snickers bar a day (a duo of course) as well as a cup of coffee with several biscuits will reduce calories by almost 1000. That will have a significant effect. I'm consuming about 500 carbs a day, which feels like a s**tload, so most of the additional calories i add to my diet will come from nuts and seeds.

Gone squatting Member 12, 386 posts SQ 250, BP 155, DL 260665.0 kgs @ 90kgs UnEq | Haven't updated this log for a while, just because i've been so busy with work. I can't remember last weeks sessions so i'll just start from today. Back on sundays now because work has been getting in the way of my original plan. The routine is the same, more or less, just different days. SUNDAYS SESSION Squats - all with a visible pause 150kg x 2 170kg x 2 180kg x1 190kg x1 200kg x1 200kg x1 Leg Press - one leg at a time 106 x 6 124 x 5 133 x 3 Pullthroughs stack x 15 Ab Pulldowns 56kg x 10 63kg x 10 63kg+7.5lbs x 5 70kg x 3 Shrugs 140kg x 10 180kg x 10 210kg x 23 Overall quite a decent session, strength is coming back. I've never done 200kg paused squats before so i was quite pleased, 190kg was the previous best. I felt like i wouldn't have been far of my 220 max today doing regular squats. Currently eating everything in sight, i'm due in at the gym tomorrow at 8am for tricep and lat work, followed by judo in the evening.

Gone squatting Member 12, 386 posts SQ 250, BP 155, DL 260665.0 kgs @ 90kgs UnEq | Training today wasn't too bad considering yesterdays marathon session. Tendons were quite sore so the close grip wasn't great. Dips felt really easy but i didn't want to push it because of the tendons. Close Grip Bench 60kg x 15 80kg x 10 100kg x 5 120kg x2,2,2 Dips BW+25KG x 5,5,5 T- Bar Rows 60kg x 10 70kg x 10 80kg x 10 90kg x 10 Rear delt flyes to pump some blood into the traps, they were slightly tender after yesterdays shrugging.

left the country satisfied Member 10, 19241 posts SQ 240, BP 150, DL 270660.0 kgs @ 107kgs UnEq | i wish this f**ker would keep his log up to date so we could a) give him even more abuse and b) congratulate him on the rare occasions when the lifting was good. Like yesterday, that 215kg squat was like a feather, indeed it looked like a first rep of a triple. Unlucky with the 222.5kg - form went because of lack of heavy squatting in your training for a while.

Gone squatting Member 12, 386 posts SQ 250, BP 155, DL 260665.0 kgs @ 90kgs UnEq | I was still feeling the after effects from the cold/fever i had during the week. Started with a few light squats. From watching the 222.5kg video i noticed that i fell forward a few inches at the bottom before trying to stand up. So today i concentrated on pushing the chest out as much as possible in the bottom position, it made a huge difference. Although i was only using light weight i could still feel the difference. Squats 60kg x 10 100kg x 10 120kg x 5 Deads 60kg x 10 100kg x 5 140kg x 5 160kg x 5 170kg x 5 180kg x 5 190kg x 5 Ab Pulldowns 49kg x 15 56kg x 15 56kg+5lbs x 12 56kg+7.5lbs x 12 63kg x 5

Gone squatting Member 12, 386 posts SQ 250, BP 155, DL 260665.0 kgs @ 90kgs UnEq | Training this morning felt really good, don't no why because i still don't feel like i have gotten over the virus from last week plus i did judo the night before. It was also nice to start the day by going to the gym as opposed to going straight to work. Close Grip Bench 60kg x 15 80kg x 8 90kg x 8 100kg x 10 110kg x 5 120kg x1 125kg x 1 I felt quite strong on these, more so in terms of volume, i could have done 12 or 13 with 100kg. I definately need to work more on heavy singles in the next few weeks. Chin Ups BW x 8 BW + 10kg x 5,5,5 BW + 20kg x 2,2,2,2,2 BW X 5,5,5,5 Dips 20kg x 10 30kg x 8 40kg x 5,5 Standing DB Press 20kg x 10 25kg x 10 30kg x 5 Upright Rows for No Neck 60kg x 10, 10, 10
