This is pretty what happened to me before when I was hitting heavy singles all the time and chasing PBs. It all caught up with me and I started to have a few sessions with fails in them and then started to feel fat and out of shape. Don't do what I did and crash diet, you'll probably regret it if you do. Since I went back to sticking to 531 I've never felt better, I might not be hitting 1RMs but I'm hitting rep PBs and my body feels better for it.

Fazc said:I think a shift away from PBs would be a good idea, have a few weeks just doing some volume work. Usually when I feel fat and less awesome than I am, and generally have silly thoughts about dieting etc is when I need a break.

The more you try at this point the more you'll be f**ked over imo. Maybe a month of full-on bodybuildery type stuff.

No he needs to do as he's told......... Tongue

Somewhere between me, o2 messaging service and John the following changed into failing a 250 deadlift attempt and failing a 150 bench attempt.

The session I gave him to do was three 8's on 130 high bar squat, three 5's on 120 bench, three 5's on 182.5 sldl, which isn't far off what you're suggesting regarding volume etc, and all part of a much bigger plan, involving a 130 x 5 bench, and 200 x 5 sldl in the pretty near future.

Funnily enough these rep and set targets would set him up for a zero risk 150 bench and 250 deadlift attempt not too long afterwards, on the right day.

You have to do the work before hand though!

"LOL".

Following discussions with several key people in my life, we have decided that I will be going back to 85kg bodyweight as quick as is healthily possible.

I envisage a kg per week of fat will be lost so this process will likely take around 15 weeks to complete.

Maybe you're just not meant to be that small John. If you so easily went to 108 (?) 85 sounds almost ill lol. I'm the opposite, I'll probably never weigh more than 95kg in my life and the eating to get there would be a full time job. Maybe you're just meant for bigger things

I don't want to be sub 10% fat, nothing like that. 12% would be ideal I think. That's not excessively lean.
I will easily be sub 90kg at 12% fat.

Right now I'm just a fat block of s**t.
