there is an obsession in my gym at home with wrist wraps. Literally everyone wears them for 12kg dungbell flies lol

I once saw a guy strap himself in for bench
I also saw a guy in another gym strap himself in for literally everything, including curling an empty bar

never thought about it til now. i bench thumbless grip all the time, n the odd occasion the bar has rolled in the hands n been close to coming out n crushing me from 3/4 way up. if u havent got a spotter or safety rails it cud be a good idea, especialy seen as a few people have died from bar falling from hands onto them.

Are we talking wraps or straps? If straps, just stop! If wraps, use only if you have to to avoid wrist pain. I tend to avoid straps when doing raw bench, but use them when I put a shirt on just to be on the safe side.
