So where does it state that it has this zero tolerance?

It wasn't discussing how to obtain or use or low level sport usage or anything like that. There is nothing legally wrong in discussing something like that.

I don't know why it was locked, but would guess it's more of a liability issue than laws being broken. If people on a forum make libellous statements against individuals it is possible for the forum's owners to be held responsible.

Then yahoo, YouTube and many other websites would all be stopping user content stating Bolt is using naughty products.

The T&Cs state no specific discussion about ones drug usage.

I don't see talk of bolt and gear as a T&Cs breach tbh?

they can host themselves with their multi million pound server buildings. chances are sugdenbarbell is hosted with a smaller, cheaper company that has different regulations. terrible argument.

Umm what? Hosting companies do not set their own libel laws. There might be country specific laws but then there is the argument of where the hosting is located, not the size of the company hosting the content

hosts do set their own rules lol. some hosts might not want to be associated with illegal activities or porn or something? it looks bad on their part and it's bad for business.

it could also partially be why sugden admins don't want PEDs discussed regardless of whatever hosting agreement they share, it looks s**tty for the strength community.

Rules are not laws. 'legal reasons' was given as a reason for locking a thread.
Hosting companies will have rules based on the laws of the country where the hosts operate, then their own rules after that.

I would find it hard to believe that a company would choose to operate from a country that allows the lesser approved things on the Internet to only then have rules banning them.

I can understand not wanting to discuss how, where and peoples specific usage, that makes sense. But when something like Bolt is a hot topic and is general discussion on news websites it seems odd to ban it here.

i assume the 'legal reasons' excuse was thrown out cos it becomes a matter of liability issues if any incident were to occur from remarks on this forum. it seems a little extreme, but if a guy on here advocates drugs and then another guy dies from it after taking his advice, it could come back on the admin and/or host. however unlikely that is, it's a chance best avoided in the first place by issuing a zero tolerance restriction on PED discussion.

and the host rules are there purely from a business perspective. you don't want to host your children's tv show website with a company that also hosts german porn, any ties completely invalidate your companies principles. customers don't want that connection, however small that may be.

I suspect yahoo & youtube might feel slightly less concerned about the prospect of being sued.

Rules are Rules. Sugden has sponsors and responsibilities, whether you agree or not, it's their call. Don't see what the problem is TBH, the subjects been done to death for sprinting, cycling, weighlifting, ping pong etc etc anyway.
