Are you suggesting the discussion is bulls**t or the scenario?
I dont see how anyone can lay claim to a national title when the qualifiers were capped and the best guys could miss out. Would make winning it a bit hollow imo

Just remember that last year it was capped and it was a bit of a downer for the competition then as well, think it was capped at 12 initially? To be fair I think less than that actually turned up on the day though?

Just for points mate not accumulation of reps makes ammount of points

In total agreement. Capping numbers on a qualifier is a nonsense. If there is too much interest then hold more qualifiers, or find a biggr venue. Speed at sending an email in no way displays strength, so it makes a mockery of the whole comp imo

If anybody else wants to run a regional qualifier PM me!! It has been put out there before and no takers

Next to the junction gym in waky there is a truck yard, think they have up to a 7.5 tone truck, it may be heavier in comp but its beter than nothing, that what al be using anyway, if they let us but dont think there will be a problem mate

Ive sorted an artic unit now so should be heavy enough, only thing I have to do is give plenty of notice as it needs a driver and will have to be a few lads down to make it pay as I will get charged a little for using it, so maybe £5 a lad or so if thats ok Happy

I wonder how the truck pull will work, will they have different trucks, or additional trailers?

Just cause obviously a truck an u90 can pull with no rope would be stupidly light to a 140kg guy

Shame there can't be a Scottish qualifiers, as there seem to be quite a lot of Scottish lads going in for the Northern qualifiers (at least in the 90s).

was thinking that, but there probably still aren't the numbers to justify it, maybe at u90, but I think I'm the only open so far

Could you make the weight drop?Grin
Would be nice to have a Scottish qualifier though. Think you would get more participants if it was called Scotland's Strongest Natural Man rather than just the Scottish qualifier.

you are right, and off the top of my head I do know a couple more open guys who would be up for it

the problem is that Strongman really is tiny in Scotland, there are only a few places where people train and comps happen, and I just don't think there would be much interest in a tested comp in those places
