On a serious note, some logs can just be way tougher than others. Diameter, weight of the actual log (as opposed to the overall lift), (possibly) hand spacing etc.


Yer it was as thick as an IFSA log but only half as long, think my problem was tht i'd been splilt jerkin in training but on the day the surface was slightly sloped and it was raining so i kept thinking im gonna get injured here. In reality i could have done a good 3-5 strict presses with it but walked away frustrated with 40 seconds left, ridiculous i know.

Comp was well run and lots of helpers on hand and loaders did very good job. Gladly the rain cleared halfway through the comp in time for farmers, tyre and truck pull.

Think the 105's who qualified in order were -

Scott Poulter
Either Jordan Lyons or Tim Furner
Sean Clarke
Mark topham??
Tom Linklater
Mike Bromby

I'm dissapointed to have not made top 3 but suppose i still did enough considering what happened on the first event.

i still cant get over that long. basically i couldnt even press it empty doing a bit of a warm upEek Embarassed i thought wtf is going on here after doing 80x5 in training!

Still everyone had same problem.

Cheers rodger, same yourself and great effort on the truck mate.

Finals are at paradise wildlife park near cheshunt, last weekend in august normally. Hopefully events will be released soon.

650.0 kgs @ 90kgs UnEq		Really good enjoyable day yesterday. Thankfully the weather wasn't too bad considering the last few days. It was great to finally meet some of the lads from here I've been talking to, and meet some new faces too.
Well pleased with my performance, although a little disappointed to lose out on countback but thats how it goes.
Well done to everyone who competed and a big thanks to Jack and all the loaders and helpers from Spartan.

823.0 kgs @ 120kgs UnEq		loved the comp, really well run speedy, with some great lads and herculean efforts. Well pleased for Wayne on the win and Mike on the qualifying. Chuffed that i did better than i expected. A little pissed i missed out on qualifying by half point got no excuses just need to train harder. Definately got something to aim for next time round now!
