True. I like using boards in the "off - season." I get used to the weight in my hands and my central nervous systems complains ect. I normally use bands for my DE days. Thursdays, 72 hours after a bench related exercise. I like working the DE up to a 5 week up and a 2 week down cycle.

Not just with BP but also SQ. DL is hard to use bands.

Cheers
Mate

The journey to the gym tonight was so depressing and tedious that I opted for a gentle one. Save myself for DE bench tomorrow, when I try adding 5 kilos to all reps. Did lots of chatting tonight, huge rests between sets, more a social evening than balls to the wall, but here's what I did...

Lat Pulldowns - sets of 10 with 6, 8, 10; sets of 8 with 12, 14.
Seated T Bar Rows - sets of 10 on both grips with 6, 8, 10, 12 (8 sets).
Upright Rowing - sets of 10 with 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.
Facepulls - sets of 10 with 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.
Shoulder Horn - three sets of 20 with 5s; three sets of 10 with 10s.

Too much talking so no time for cardio. That little lot took an hour and a half. The bridge had eased off by then!

Had a traumatic day today. Check out the General Bulls**t section five minutes after I post this. Speed Bench tonight. Warm up, then...

2 purple bands on and 10 sets of 3 with 85

Bands off and 5 sets of 3 with 105. And that was it.

Everything up 5 kilos from last week and felt fine. Speed was still there. Pleased with that.

DE is the key mate. Makes you more explosive and helps perfect technique. Much better with bands than without btw.

Tonight's stuff...

Dips Machine - 3 sets of 10 with 10 plates; 2 sets of 10 with 12; 1 set of 10 with 15; 1 set of 10 with 18.
Triceps Pressdowns - sets of 10 with 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.
Hammer Curls - sets of 10 with 10s, 12.5s, 15s, 17.5s and 20s
Cardio - 35 minutes for 527 calories output.
Ab Roller - 3 sets of 20
DB Curls - 3 sets of 20 with 7s.

Got a good burn off the triceps work. Backed off last set of pressdowns because there was just a little twinge where I had my golfers elbow. Not getting that again for the sake of a set of pressdowns! Nice solid cardio session. First time on ab roller in about 2 years! And didn't it tell? First "proper" curls in a long time - just nice and light and get the muscles working again, but no golfers elbow twinges which was fantastic. Btw there are two reasons I'm going to do curls - to help fill out the arms of the bench shirt and give me a bit more; and to impress drunken girls less than half my age on Friday nights. You need to do things like that when you haven't got a tongue like a goat.

Lol! Don't forget the matching socks and trainers. 20something girls just don't get the F6, and have great difficulty helping me off with it. So biceps it is! Otherwise I'd just be letting my public down.
