40 x 10 warming up and getting the technique

130 x 1 I refused to give up as I knew I had it, I found that I was having to get really low to catch it and never really been that low before, at first it was a little bit of a shock

Front Squat
100 x 5
120 x 5
140 x 5
150 x 5 PB

The 175 is starting to annoy me know I get stuck at the same point every time, thinking I will work on 5 rep stuff next week to hope to push through it

Done there not the longest of sessions but I haven't actually rested since the comp on sunday so I think some time off is in order

Also just ordered a log from buzz, going to nice to train on a proper sized log, along with currently curing 155ish kg ball so I will have 2 to play with

Yeh its wooden and its homemade, most of my stuff is homemade

Havent really used this journal in a while and im not the best at keeping one but going to try a little better this time.

I wont be keeping a full journal of everyday training but want to fully log my progress on the Ed Coan Deadlift routine program so if your interested then feel free to follow me.

Currently I have pulled 290kg in comp but it was mega ugly, clean I have pulled 275kg. The goal for this routine will be to pull 300kg relativly clean.

Week 1
Had a little bit of a twinge in my upper spine but decided to ignore it.

Did some warm up sets
180kg x 3
now the routine begins
220kg x 3 easy
180kg x 3 slow
180kg x 3
180kg x 3
180kg x 3
180kg x 3
180kg x 3
180kg x 3
180kg x 3 mega fast

My speed definatly got faster by the last set and I wasnt too tired which I was suprise by.

Good Mornings
60k x 8
100kg x 8 felt super heavy and could feel my back curling over
80kg x 8 much better
These werent the best because some dude kept trying to talk to me about nutrition

Heavy front Lat Pulldowns
105 x 5
120 x 5
130 x 4 bit heavy

Lat Pulldowns behind Superset with High to low Wide grip cable rows
3 sets nothing exciting

Bit of skipping because I found a rope 10 mins worth

Walking on incline treadmill 20 minutes

Felt good after the session looking forward to next week

Week 2

Felt a little sore after team strongman training on sunday battle through

Bunch of epic warmup sets
240kg x 2 felt ok probably should of warmed up a little more, still think I need to lenghten my hamstrings
190kg x 3
190kg x 3

190kg x 3
190kg x 3 Didnt want to be anywhere near a bar at this point
190kg x 3 Was tired to say the least
190kg x 3 Glad when this was over

This routine is hard next week is going to be tough

Good Mornings

100kg x 8 felt much better on these this week

Lat pulldowns front
95 x 8
100 x 8
105 x 8 Felt the weight but all doable

Low Rows
100 x 8
100 x 8
105 x 8 grip struggled on this but finished off ok

240kg x 3 felt nice and easy, the stretching that I have been doing recently has paid off

300kg x 1 best 300kg i have ever pulled
310kg x 1 PB very happy with this
320kg x 1 PB again although wasn't the prettiest of reps

Seated machine shoulder press

150kg x 0 whoops

140kg x 12 was going for 5 but had a spot he helped with first one which usually drains me then I was on my way!
150kg x 10 machine couldn't take anymore weight good times

Crap workout shoulder still hurts

Flat bench
70kg x 10
120kg x 5 painful
150kg x 3 rubbish
150kg x 3 just as rubbish
170kg x 2 super tough reps

My back was sore from yesterday and my hand was sore so decided it would be best to try and improve technique on cleans

50kg x 1 30 seconds rest in between 5 sets
100kg x 3 good reps
100kg x 1 caught in like a disabled kid hurt my hand again couldnt grip anything, that was the end of that

Did a bicep workout because im vein
