The second sentence doesn't make sense because I know what I know, but you do not, you fail at the Internets Carlos!

Looks cool, but I am taking some time off of deadlifting, I popped a bunch of blood vessles in my face, eyes, and neck 2 days ago from doing deads. I need a break! Haha! Plus I can't max dead without straps anymore. I can't do the over/under grip due to some plates and pins in my left arm (the arm I would go under with) restricts how far I can turn that hand over. I can only hook grip around 300kg, but have the strength for much more. Bummer for me.

Why not start training your reverse grip the other way round, so you take the underhand grip on the right?

I've tried actually and it throws me to the left for some reason. I'm also afraid that with all the other bicep heavy stuff in our sport of tearing one on the dead like many guys do.

Have you got full rotation in your arm, i shattered the bones in my right, twice, and had plates inserted. There removed now but they don't cause me any problems, if you had an offset grip that might help aswell. it might also help improve your range of movement if you do it, but build up to heavy weights once you've got the full ROM with your arm.

I heard that can be a problem actually, but OK, train to hold on to more than 280 with a hook-grip!
Two wraps of zinc oxide around each thumb helps. I find doing most of my shrugging with a hook-grip is also good training for it.
