I guess you cant really call st.ives an inter comp anymore if it ever was as clegg and matt could easily nail opens and alex came 2nd at hollands strongest man last year! having athletes of that standard in the comp alongside intermediate level athletes is something im aiming for as I think that makes for a great comp! seeing jamie and tony take on and beat the front runners in the hold, wayne in the axle and deadlift and jules in the dumbell press were some of the best parts of the comp for me last year. so, if youve got to call it anything other than 'an f-ing quality comp' I suppose it should be 'inter/open'.

Trump will get another four years Member 126, 16707 posts SQ 160, BP 110, DL 225 495.0 kgs @ 75kgs UnEq	this is the current thinking on the events. of course they are all subject change. cage deadlift - 5 lifts, increasing weight on each lift, timed. WSM style. inch replica dumbell medley - 50ish to 80ish frame hold loading race axle clean and press - 120/105 - athletes choose which weight. 1 rep on the heavy beats any number on the light. axle front squat for reps - 140/180 - athletes choose which weight. 1 rep on the heavy beats any number on the light. the deadlift and front squat will need testing. if the dead doesnt work itll be changed to reps head to head 240/270ish. if im not happy with the squat ill bin it and have 5 events. ill start taking entries on monday evening after 9 as sugden is usually busy then. post in here, pm me on here or email stivesstrongman@hotmail.co.uk to get your name down. top 3 from last year and the dutch guys have been invited back and have accepted so there are 11 more spots up for grabs.
