It is the lift I have the most potential for increasing over the next few months I think. My back has strengthened a lot but my legs still dont fire very well. Yes I am competing at the British unequipped. | ||

Training for this comp is a bit mad but after the comp I am going to go onto a few long and slow cycles which will be gentler on me but progressive. slightly smaller bat Member 15, 304 posts SQ 135, BP 70, DL 147.5352.5 kgs @ 63kgs Eq | the next goal has to be BW bench by Xmas really Training is has been mental though the numbers and progress are good - but I am worried of strains, injury and fatigue in this final few weeks up to the comp so the plan for the remaining pre-comp workouts is: rest until Unit 20 this Friday and do some squatting and benching. Strongwoman on Sunday but relatively low-key compared to my usual madness. Tuesday Squats and bench; Thursday Bench, Friday DLs and Bench - but reduce or eliminate all accessory exercises and ease off considerable at the tail-end of the week. Then Monday of the last week before the comp I will do opening attempt for each lift with competitions commands and then rest and eat! Thursday before the comp I will do one of those neuro pathways workout thingies with really light weights singles (like 40k SQ, 20k BP, 60k DL). Bench press 5x40k 2x50k 2,2,2,2,2,2x55k paused Push press 5x30k 3x40k 2,2,2x45k Dips 8xBW 8x(+10k) 7x(+10k) CGBP 8,8,8x40k Decline dumbel press dropset: 20x10k dbls 20x5k dbls | ||

slightly smaller bat Member 15, 304 posts SQ 135, BP 70, DL 147.5352.5 kgs @ 63kgs Eq | Friday 17th Aug Unit 20 Squats: 3x55k 2x54k 2x75k 2x82.5k easy 1x90k PB easy but wasnt sure of the depth 1x90k a bit harder and stilll not confident but Buzz said both were fine... 2,2,2x82.5k back was strong but was slightly less deep than normal but i think still hitting depth Bench press 2x40k 2x50k 2x55k fx62.5 1x57.5k and failed second attempt 2,4x55k rep PB 12x45k Front squats 1x50k 1x60k PB 1x65k PB didnt feel like a hard workout but was good and leaves lots of energy for Sunday strongwoman | ||

slightly smaller bat Member 15, 304 posts SQ 135, BP 70, DL 147.5352.5 kgs @ 63kgs Eq | strongwoman PBs today Sunday at Unit 20 Log press 2x30k 1x35k 1x41k 1x46k PB felt ok but stabilising it was not as easy fx48.5k nowhere close Thick-bar clean and press 3x35k 1x40k 1x45k 1x50k PB Yoke 15m x 110k ~6m x 190k with 2 drops but pickup felt a lot less difficult or painful than 190k last unit 20 session PB Farmers walk 15m x 70k with 1 turn - felt ok but wish i could have made 20k PB 5m x 80k felt good for pickup but walking was tough! PB 80k atlas stone 3 failed attempts but starting to lose respect for it and felt like i made some real progress - was getting it off my hips and up my body a bit - just not quite strong enough to carry it high enough. all in all an awesome session -pretty shattered now!!! | ||
