Was feeling a bit tired today so took it a bit easy

Squats
5x60kg
Knee wraps on
3x80kg felt nice and easy
3x3x90kg not as easy as you would think but of course easier than raw!

Bench
5x50kg
Bigger bench shirt 3x60kg tought
Smaller shirt 5x3x70kg not easy at all

Nice, that's the beauty of equipmnet you can still have a good work out even if you are feeling a bit low, compared to what you would have done unequiped. Looking good for the NW.

hey fruity how are getting on with the shirted bench? are you finding your groove yet?(is that the technical term for it?)

aye i like the shirt but takes a few reps to get the shirt right for subsequent sets. I find with the shirt i grip much much wider and as a result there are some weak points that need strengthening. Also really scared of the losing control of the bar! certainly changes the trajectory the bar takes...

thats true. Joni and I were discussing how much I would do today and at the training session and agreed that I should at least on squats, exploit the facilities and expertise available at the training session and therefore not tire myself out this week so to keep the squatting fairly light and avoid raw squatting this week.
will you be at the training session Joe?

Bench press unequipped
5x20kg
3x50kg eek felt hard
3x55kg again hard
3x60kg awful
3x55kg but I decided to go really wide grip and it felt so easy!
3x60kg wide-grip so nice
3x65kg wide - tough but nice also
10x50gk wide - reps eek!

Normally I am really weak on wide-grip bench but the bench shirt which I have only worn twice forces me to be much wider-grip. Anyway was realy pleased with this!

Strict press 3x10x20kg

Dips 3x10xBW

lol oops!!!! it was supposed to be light but then when I discovered the potential of this wide-grip bench-stuff I got a bit carried away!! I had got really angry with how hard the earlier sets felt too so maybe that helped.

Equipped squats - straps off

With loose knee wraps 3x3x80kg felt pretty easy but still painful!!!

Deadlifts - Phil Richards sent me a DL suit that I squeezed myself into with difficulty. Getting down to grab the bar is the hard and painful bit. And then I found that at 130kg it makes the lockout (my weakness) even harder than raw 130kg because takeoff is easy and then all of a sudden the weight hits me just where I am weakest. Mind you 130kg was without a belt and I would never DL over 110kg without a belt!
1x80kg
1x100k
1x110kg
1x130kg
And then raw: 3x100kg

Lateral widegrip pulldowns
10x45kg
10x50kg
5x65kg
And then close-grip
5,5 x 55kg
