unbelievable !

when i made a decent effort to return to powerlifting a couple of years ago ....i managed a 200 single and it was the meatiest grinder i have ever done !

so if you nail 240 .... you will recieve the Sugden Knighthood.

ha an honour I would cherish!

listening to luke do shanes podcast earlier this year really helped. he was talking about focusing purely on deadlift when he was trying to break the 105 record. so I stripped the weight back on all my other lower back work during the week to stay fresh for deads. makes some of my other training days a bit boring sometimes but the payoff on deads has been worth it.

Looking good Willsan.

Its very interesting how strength catches up after weight loss. Ive experienced the exact same thing and even at my age.

No doubt, If I were to start deads and squats again I would get some great results like yourself.

However, I am now commited to Mixed martial arts and yoga.

Basically, Its nice to see you looking healthy and strong all at the same, insperational to all the fat f**kers (as we were) thinking of leaning up a bit Id say Happy and great beard.

cheers dude. I just have to keep going - I dont know what else to do!

strength has been easier to maintain in some lifts than others. deads and overhead have held up. events took a hit and then a lot of work but regained that. squat type strength got devastated each time I dropped weight and I never got it back. best squat at 105 was 200, 90 was 180 and 80 I tore my ham doing 160.

trying to hold back on it whilst focusing on deads. from the way its moving I think I have another 10kg there. maybe a little more.
