I feel you on the IBS front mate, when I get a flair up it messes training completely, bloody terrible. Getting some good graft in bud.

I third that guys. IBS is a b**ch when it strikes but in all honesty I don't suffer that badly. I know most of my triggers so if I can avoid them it's plain sailing, every few months I'll push it and have a flair up that that's completely my fault. The thing hat got me this time is hayfever. That's kicked in big time over the last few days. The knock on effect is I become super sensitive to all my triggers so I have less breathing space. For the next two weeks at least I need to limit myself to meat, veg, rice and fruit. Grains area a big no go.

KB Swings
7.5kg x 30 reps

A1 Front Squat
70kg x 8 reps
120kg x 4 reps --Dropped the reps down. I need the higher weight so that I don't lift the bar off my shoulders. However the weight progression is to aggressive. Therefore I've sliced the reps down. I'll build these back up again over the new 6 weeks or so.
120kg x 3 reps
120kg x 3 reps

A2 Kneeling Hip Extension
x 10 reps
x 10 reps
x 10 reps

B1 Deadlift
--Hook Grip
120kg x 3 reps
160kg x 1 rep
200kg x 1 rep
230kg x 1 rep

--Reverse bands on, wide grip, straps on
270kg x 5 reps --I'm keeping total volume on deads lower for now as I have an intensive KM seminar on the cards. I need to make sure recovery is sorted before i hit the mats.

B2 Face Down Incline Curls
30kg x 8 reps
40kg x 8 reps
40kg x 8 reps
40kg x 8 reps

My brother turned up today after over year of not training. I haven't seen him for a few months so we did a fair big of gas bagging. I will likely need to make some adjustments as there will be some contention for the equipment if he continues to train.

A1 Press With Bands
bar x 5 reps -- Pink Bands
bar x 5 reps -- Purple Bands
60kg x 3 reps -- Pink Bands

No choice on the fronties mate, need more weight so I don't lift if off my shoulder lol. It will be interesting to see what these add, I haven't really given front squats a fair chance.

Deads are pretty much where I want them to be at this time. I'd like to be repping 300kg with the reverse bands by year end and i think the is more than attainable. The trouble is recovery, I need to be able to do this and it not impact my other lifts, that's the challenge.

Thursday 26th April 2018

My brother turned up today so the session was still a bit chatty but that will settle down over time.

Band Rows
x 25 reps
x 25 reps
x 25 reps

A1 Squat
70kg x 3 reps
120kg x 3 reps
160kg x 3 reps
200kg x 1 rep
-- Belt on
175kg x 10 reps --PB by 5kg. Fairly easy tbh, cardio was the biggest problem. I had to lay down after this set as I started to go night nights.

A2 Facedown Incline Curls
30kg x 8 reps
40kg x 8 reps
40kg x 8 reps
45kg x 5 reps -- Nah keep it at 40 for now.

Cheers mate, the first 6 reps felt very light but then the cardio started to catch up with me. I think I held my breath for a too many of the early reps. Meh I got all the reps in and I likely could have done breathing reps for a good few more.

Band Rows
x 25 reps
x 25 reps
x 25 reps

I set up bench press for my brother who didn't turn up...therefore I had a little crack because why not.

Bench Press
70kg x 10 reps
70kg x 10 reps
100kg x 10 reps --Meh, all easy stuff but I guess it's a bit of extra press volume. Howwever in hindsight I wish I'd have done dips.

I used the rest of the session to make a new sandbag. I now have 3 inner bags which are sealed with cable ties and a massive hose clamp. There are also 2 outer bags so fingers crossed this one can take the punishment and won't burst like the last one.

I think this new bag weighs about 75-80kg but this is a complete guess and I may be way off. My goals for this bag will be cardio based. I want to: fight it, shoulder it, clean it, grip it, load it, walk with it and perhaps throw it.

Of course once I made it I had to test it.

I have another seminar on Saturday so I'm not going to be pushing it this week.

Band Rows
x 25 reps
x 25 reps
x 25 reps

A1 Trap Bar Rows + Drag Row Shrugs
bar x 10 reps + 5 reps
65kg x 10 reps + 5 reps
65kg x 10 reps + 5 reps

A2 Dead Press
bar x 6 reps
60kg x 6 reps
70kg x 6 reps
80kg x 3 reps
90kg x 6 reps -- I like this weight. I think I'll rep with it for a few weeks and build volume. Something like 8x3 or similar. Maybe 8x2 and build reps Hepburn style.
80kg x 3 reps
80kg x 3 reps

A3 Kneeling Rollouts
x 7 reps
x 7 reps
x 6 reps
x 6 reps

A4 Squat
70kg x 3 reps
120kg x 3 reps
160kg x 3 reps
200kg x 1 rep
205kg x 1 rep --I had planned to increase to 205 and build the reps from scratch but I think I'll change pace and use reverse bands for a few weeks. I think I need the change to I recharge mentally.
