It does amaze me how I can enjoy something so much that I'm not all that good at. I also hear quite a bit about how running is bad for you, but all of it from people who don't run. Dicks.

I think that come with the fact that we dont expect to be good at it, so there is no pressure to perform other than to our own targets.

With my running, i always go with the fact that for a 100k+, ex-weightlifter, who creeping ever closer to 50, I'm doing pretty well Grin

Yep. Looking forward to it now. Still aiming for a comfy 2:30 but that should be safe. I'll get this week out of the way then start to bring my bwt down hopefully to sub 85k. I'm nearer 90 now and I think it tells a tale.

Agree on all points. It's quite liberating. Like running naked.

Not sure I'd like running naked, I fear it would be too pendulous for comfort; although i think the screaming Japanese school girls would scream even louder

Very little done mid week due to being on a course and concentrating on that. Daily press ups x 22 with added weight ended with 20k x 22 yesterday, just after Parkrun #45 done in a couple of seconds over 30 min.

Had a good walk around Tryfan mountain range for a couple of hours yesterday. Was supposed to be meeting up with people and wild camping for the night, but didn't so after 4-5 hours I came home.

Life is fun Grin

Is "Wild Camping" a thing?

Yeah, but obviously open to interpretation. In my case it's getting together once or twice a year with guys from my last employment for a hearty walk/ hike followed by setting up camp out of site of any national trust rangers or other busy bodies, usually done around twilight when all the day trekkers have left the hills. Not quite Bear Grylls sleeping in a hollowed out kangaroo carcass, but a bit rougher than a camp site with showers, toilets and a no fire policy. A man can find himself when he has to squat down and s**t in a bag.

Interesting...and I thought I was hardcore with a tent in my garden. Happy

Surely though it would be better to s**t on the ground like the other animals?

Possibly, but as we are basically trespassing on national trust land whilst the night time consists of drinking and eating from containers, having a fire and giggling like a giggleson once the morning comes round we are careful to try and not to leave any trace, including said poo and used lavatory paper.
