You made a common mistake.....

When doing 'ultra raw' deadlifts you have to label them;

ULTRA RAWR!!!!!

Adds 7kg to the lift.

as a matter of beltless deads dont go too heavy too soon i find its easier and more to the point safer if u stick to a lower weight unless uv trained as such like tom hibbert where your beltless and belted pulls are somewhere near each other focus on tekkers without a belt use straps if need be or double overhand thats what i do when my double overhand fails (around 200) i throw on the belt or straps and very rarely go above 200 for beltless pulls its its about strengthening your core you dont need heavy weights to do that of course if ur beltless is just as big as your belted pull disregard everything i just said throw some vids up or video your sets and be honest with yourself dont let the ego take over are your deads not feeling great beacuse there too heavy sure the bigger weights look good but is your form breaking down to a point where injury is a risk or its a pointless set why pull 230 no belt with s**tty form when you could pul 180 for multipul sets and reps with perfect form and get more out of it Happy

That was an extremely difficult paragraph to read!
I do agree with what Vausie said though. Ive been doing beltless deadlifts for reps, admitadly I tried a PB the other week but bottled it at the top.

PS that is am immense strict log PB - did you video it?

I get you vausie. Plenty more in the tank on the 220 but it's confidence pulling beltless. Never done much before, might even do some beltless squats sometime too!! Crazy i know. I'll put the vid of the beltless deadlift up. Strict log wasn't filmed. I cleaned it intending to double a push press when my mate called strict or your gay! Haha.
I took the challenge.
