Norway take their drug-tested lifting pretty seriously from what I've seen, plus I'm pretty certain their top lifters are full time and get some sort of stipend/money. I imagine they wouldn't be too impressed if he did a competition against a load of IPF banned lifters!

They dont get paid from the federation, they only get the trips to championships covered. However, some lifters sometimes get a stipend from their city or other sponsors at like £3000-10000 but thats not every year and certainly not enough for a living.
