A human body is asymmetrical. It isnt nescessarily going to be better if you somehow become more symmetrical.

Yeah I dont think its that bad. Yes, from this angle it doesnt nescessarily look buried but Ive learned from watching his lifts from other angles that his depth is better than it looks from the front. There is no way for us to see his hip crease without being more to the side.

Its not bad. Maybe work on tightening up the back even more before pulling and perhaps lower your head slightly. Often works well to look at the floor two metres in front of you for at least the first half of the pull.

Still pretty far away from 340 but at least back to where I was before injury last year with this 300kg double. How many dead stop reps do you guys do with 300? Im assuming at least 5-6 reps for 340kg. https://www.instagram.com/p/BeBWYGQhAaZ/

It basically forces you to tuck your elbows more, which tends to place more stress on your front deltoid and upper pecs. This can be a good thing or it can be a bad thing, depending on how you use the exercise in your routine and where your weaknesses are.

Probably not a big problem if you structure this correctly. If the meet is in five weeks you have two weeks of heavy deadlifts, three weeks of heavy squats and four weeks of heavy benching. No need for a lot of volume in this last phase before competition, so your workouts can be fairly short. Singles, maybe doubles, at 87,5-92,5% with some added triples at 80% or doubles at 85% as your main work for the week. Bench needs the most volume and also probably frequency, squat is fine with only two sessions and deadlifts can be fine with only one, but it can often be an advantage to have a really light session so that form stays sharp until your next heavy session.

steve32 said:just a quick question troops, got a partial bicep tear a few years ago and was going to do shrugs with doh heavy soon,u think they will affect my bicep much?just kinda paranoid about it Impossible to say. Is your arm fine now? I had a partial tear and even DOH-stuff gave me pain initially, but now its fine. Dont do anything supinated on that side anymore though. |
