1. A Parker Fly classic
2. An Ibanez RG550
3. An accoustic (no idea what it is)

They are all sitting under various beds gathering dust.

Why did I stop playing again?

You have a parker fly and it's just gathering dust under a bed? that is disgusting!!

Lol, Metalocalypse?

I have been playing since i was 14, but started to play a lot more at Uni since i couldnt play my drums as much.

i have: PRS SE custom 24, Yamaha apx 500 (acoustic), Alvarez Acoustic,

There is another 5 guitars in the family though including a jackson super strat thing form the 80's and another PRS.

I play my electric through a VOX VT30, and its a pretty cool amp, wouldnt mind some of the amps that Tom has though!

Ok, now I have guitar envy.

I only have a BC Rich accoustic, which I've had for 20 years. All I can do is strum along clumsily. Unhappy

Rick said:I had no idea you were a musician, Tom.

I have some guitars.

Ibanez:

JEM77FP
JEM777DY
RG570 in ash
PGM, the Korean one
A hardtail RG
RG450, my first Ibanez.

Others:
Steinberger, a cheap cricket-bat
Daisy rock, because it makes me laugh.
A Yamaha bass. Five-string.
Crafter acoustic, in green.
A Romanian cutaway classical, which I use a lot at work.

I still have my big 12u gigging rack and 4x12, but it doesn't get much use now - won't fit my car!

I'm pretty good, modesty aside, within my limits and preferred style. I think of myself as a singer who can knock off the odd Steve Morse tune rather than a guitarist who sings.

I'd like to know what is inside this rack! Happy

Bloody hell, I'm gonna assume by your gear, and your long hair that you used to play in a metal band? (Totally judging a book by it's cover Grin ) That's some tasty equipment.

Correct! I miss it, but I definitely don't have time for it anymore.

I started off playing classical guitar and reached grade 3 with intent to do grade 5 in year 3 (primary school).
I then switched to electric guitar, buying myself a low-end one from argos or somewhere.
Traded up to an ibanez s-series (cant remember what one)at the lower end of the price spectrum.
Then traded to an ibanez iceman ic700 and had that for ages.

I was comfortable playing stuff from joe satriani, dream theatre, killswitch engage, marco sfogli and others.

Recently sold everything and bought an acoustic Tanglewood TW15 DLX. looks and plays really well and I tend to play stuff from Don Ross, Andy Mckee and Tommy Emmanuel.

Reasonable examples of my level of playing would be marco sfogli-still hurts and joe satriani-midnight (electric guitar), bearing in mind I havent picked up an electric for years would probably not be able to play this anymore without practice. Andy mckee -rylynn and don ross - blue bear ,which is my most recently learnt song (acoustic)

Martin1956 said:Who on here plays the guitar, what guitar(s) do you play and what sort of standard have you reached? I'll start off. I've made a few 'investments' in the last year and now have a Mexican Strat, a Gibson SG Voodoo and a Gibson Les Paul Studio, plus a couple of cheap accoustics and a couple of Squiers that are now surplus to requirements. My standard, sadly, is poor, but it keeps me happy.

I think Jabba blows his own trumpet, so maybe other instruments too...

Schecter omen 7 diamond series. I'm a huge Jeff Loomis fan. Wanting to sell it for a bargain 100 quid at the moment.
