Marc I had planned to use it today but it was soooooooooo cold in the gym that I could not face any naked flesh, I had 2 tshirts, a lumberjack shirt and a hoody to start off with but I have tried it on in the warmth of home and I think we may have a winner....not super snug but needs a good bit of a jiggle to get me in. I will take a pair of baggy trackies to put over on friday because it aint going to get any warmer and I need to get used to it lol....I am soft what can I say ;0)
As for the routine it was planned to start rotating and doing 1RM as soon as I felt comfortable doing so and now I have found a weak link then I can work on it....as soon as I know how lol
lol I am nesh too pm'ed you

Hi Tan

I can't believe I've missed this before now, I shall be a regular visitor from now on.

Do you plan on doing any comps at all?

I have been hiding it well under me bushel and you can pop in anytime you like!

The plan is to do a comp but there are only a couple I can do and they are pretty soon but you know me....in for a penny in for a quid!

Upper ME

Press to 5" board (ala styrofoam)
Bar x a good few
30kg x a few more
40kg x 10
50kg x 8
60kg x 5
70kg x 3
80kg x 1
85kg x 1
90kg x 1
95kg x 1 (PB)
100kg Fail (on the neg)
60kg x 5

Dips 10/10/8

Hang Clean Press
30kg x 8 x 2
Press
30kg x 8

Lat PD's
150lb x 8 x 3

DB Rows
55lb x 8
70lb x 8 x 2

Today was by far the heaviest I have taken off the rack, felt and pressed. I am more confident that my 100kg goal is actually doable. Left wrist is still iffy with tendonitis but this is an ongoing problem that I just have to deal with. Pleased with progress in such a short space of time. Happy days!

Friday

Lower DE
Box Squats

Warm Up Sets x4
60kg x 2 x 10
Leg Press
Wide High Stance
145kgx15x4
Sumo SLDL With DB
45lbers x 10 x 3 - all partial
Stab Ball GHR's
2 x failure
6 sets Abs - 3x Medicine Ball 3 x Heavy RC

I have chucked in some cardio purely for vanity....someone got me a muffin top for Christmas ;0)And I have decided to chuck in an extra day before the Lower DE For Rear Delts, Bis, and Tris as this still gives ooodles of rest over 8 days.

I used the squat suit that Marc kindly sent me which went on a little too easy and although snug was not overly tight so great got training in. So mega big thank you to Marc x I think a comp suit will be somewhere inbetween the one I can't get in properly and this one and I will probably have to get the straps altered too...stumpy torso, chunky ass, long legs....I wonder it that is an actual size fitting ;0)

Now there is a good question....the one Marc sent has no size in it so not a clue on that. I have a 36 which I tried really fcking hard to get into but even after bouncing off the dipping bars ala baby bouncer style I could not get it fully on and the crotch was not in said crotch location but halfway down my thigh. I have a 44 which is HUGE so I reckon a 38/40. I dead sumo and have a pretty wide stance squat so needs to accomodate that AND not forgetting my pretty newbie status....so if that answers your question lol! I weigh around 73kg and want to compete under 75kg so realistically weight will be 67.5-70kg. If I get under this the 36 will fit!

Good luck with lifting, hope to see you at the GBPF british this year.
My wife lifts so will be there helping her,as you know they changed the weight classes and got rid of the old records,so it would be good if she could get a few back.

Well it all depends on the day ,she did hold the deadlift record at 82.5 with 223kg the new standard is 200kg at 84kg,the bench would be harder being set at equal to her pb and the squat is about 10 kg under what she has done before.

Well to be fair the deadlift is the one most likely to go,
In your first national comp the main thing is to get some lifts in and try to enjoy it.

That is exactly my plan! Lift and enjoy! I have nowt to prove and lift because it's fun and I enjoy it. The lads at the gym keep asking me how much I need to lift and how heavy other lasses are lifting but I honestly don't know because let's face it if you are at your max then you are at it...end of and what anyone else is doing isn;t going to change that! I would like a 400+total as my 1st goal as an awd burds 1st time out I think that is reasonable lol!

Hey Tania glad the suits workin told it to be good for its new ownerHappy Its a 40 might feel a tad loose, but ya can wash it and tumble or get the old man too lol, tigten the straps with a little sewing and you'll be suprised, how tight it gets. For your first comp it might be just what you need, a looser suit you can get depth in. Good luck with your powerlifting journey, your training looks spot on
