thanks ed its the last of the vids though as i feel they may be taken as trying to show off even though im no were near a good lifter but have improved alot, and they defo arent posted to show of,i myself like to see vids of anyone lifting at any level i think its cool to see and get feedback from the pros and begginersCool im 44y old the last time i did anything cool was win a AAA award 5* there was only me in the school at 14ys old, won it,out of 1500 pupils, i ran 100m in 11.6sec,besides other stuff, what im trying to say is that ive found something that i may be good at,and i havent that many years left to improve it,but this has got to be the hardest sport out there in terms of the pounding your body gets,so anyone who can stick at it no matter what there level has balls, with a bit of luck ill stick it out and suprise myselfHappyat the end of the day its your own personal battle thats what im loving about p,lifting Cool

Tom, the AAA award shows natural athletic ability which you just haven't properly utilised in the meantime. Winning a sprinting award means you have a fantastic base for powerlifting, because both sports are based on explosive power and the sprinting award suggests you are genetically predisposed to powerlifting. I was 47 when I started competing, by the way, so 44 is nothing. But you have to train smarter rather than harder once you get over 40. You take longer to recover between training sessions, which increases the likelihood of injury. And you take longer to recover from injuries...

Unlikely, but I would really like to give you a couple of training sessions in the next month, just to make sure your technique is right and your efforts are being properly directed. Or can you find a powerlifting coach within travelling distance just to have a couple of sessions with? If you're ever in the Liverpool area, give me a shout. And if my work takes me anywhere near Darlington, I'll contact you.

Keep up the good work.

f**k that mate keep posting the vids ,its not showing off its about getting feed back and encouragement ,which is really important when your a home trainer like me and you
if someone thinks your showing off its probably only because they're jealous of that monster bench!

11 seconds 100 meter mate thats fast what do you reckon you could do now !

ed thanks mate the 100m thing would probably of been more like 12.8 tbh it was a school thing with not the best of timeing at the time i was under 9 stone fit as alop finished about 7yards in front of the lads, but it was also over 200 400m and shot putt discus long jump over 3days i finished in top three in everything but got most points from the sprint,o to be young againCool if i ran it now id say 15 to 20secs with an oxygen tent waiting for me at the end,and somthing to restart my heart defribulator thingey,i got another pb on squat today had to do it three times was sweating like a c*nt if i can sort the form out i think i can make good gains on it,i put 270k on the bar just to lift from the pinns see what it felt like HEAVY,i think ill put the squat vids on i need other opinions to confirm ok or s**t no good guessing myselfHappy

I'd say none of them is parallel I'm afraid - but it looks like a fairly easily fixable flexibility thing. Squatting in jeans is certainly not going to help!!

Looks to me like as you get further down your knees come over your feet, making you go lower but your knees are dropping aswell as your hips, i try and start the lift by pushing my ass out n unlocking hips and sittling back, the more upright your shins, the higher your knees.

oh and squatting is jeans is like using equipment !!! LOL

good strength though, you didnt appear to have any trouble

thanks boar unlocking my hips,is that a flexability thing that tokar commented on?thanks hayden i can control the weight easy just cant get the hang of squating, ill take the 170k off the league until i nail the b*stardHappy

No mate, i have poor flexibility also - it means that even naked i dont really squat down below parallel , someone like littleA can touch his balls on the floor

the hips thing is more a technique thing
