Found out today that I'm in the England team for the Commonwealths. Been selected to bench at 66kg, time to lose a little weight again!

Major grats getting in the English team that's cool as hell. The dropping weight thing isn't though haha. Will you be resigned to "good ol' chicken" for a while to drop the bodyweight?

I'm vegetarian so I'll probably be resigned to "good ol' quorn" haha!

I'm a pro at losing weight for competitions. The walking has started already. Most mornings before breakfast I'm out walking for 45 minutes or so. A week or so out from the comp I'll cut carbs down. Then I'll do a little water manipulation 2-3 days before the comp. Easy.

Better. A lot of hard work to do over the next two months though.

Being a naughty boy and playing football. Then I made it a bit worse by playing football again after being told not to play football for 2 months.

Hurts a bit after squatting earlier this week, so no squatting again for a week or so. But in general its feeling good now.

Hyper Extensions:
BW x 10
BW +10kg x 10
BW +15kg x 3 x 10

Speed Bench:
Bar +band x 5
40kg +band x 9 x 3

Band adds about 20kg at the top.

Also did 6 sets of 5 chins. Forgot to do these as a seperate exercise so just kept popping over and doing a set of five now and then.

Went into the gym today because I emailed a million and one companies last week begging for any sort of sponsorship or assistance they would be kind enough to offer. The majority weren't interested, but a couple requested photos and more information. So, today involved lifting a few weights whilst my photographer pal snapped away.

I did about 20 dips in total with 15kg on the belt. About 10 singles with 120kg and 5 with 140kg on the deadlift, pulling sumo. A few push presses with 40kg. And then a few sets of barbell rows with 60kg. Basically no rest between anything so even though it wasn't a proper session I still ended up getting a bit of a sweat on!

I'm just pretty broke at the minute having just finished uni and still only having a job that doesn't pay all that much. So all the costs associated with the commonwealths are going to be a bit of a stretch in total. So I thought I'd be cheeky and see if any companies fancied helping me out.

If they do, brilliant. If they don't, there was no harm in asking!

Same band as usual, adding about 20kg at the top.

Leg Press:

SL Hip Thrusters:
3 x 10 each leg.

All about technique and speed. 'Tekkers' if you will. Practiced setting up a few times as well without actually lifting.

Chins:

Roman Chair Situps:
BW x 10
BW +10kg x 3 x 10

Barbell Curls:
Loads x a lot
