I hit a pb today with a chest infection

No training this week.
Cars broke down on me again, caused a massive traffic jam in Birmingham town centre, had police section it off and all sorts. Won't be able to get to the gym this weekend, pissed off.

Had results from MRI back. Doc said there's a lot of wear and tear, and 'a few' bulged discs. So is referring me to a consultant with a view to either inject the spine or operate apparently. Docs words not mine, Personally didn't think you'd have to operate for a bulged disc. Wait for the letter to come through and see what happens.
Feels like a weights been lifted off my shoulders though to finally get an answer, felt really really happy in a weird way to actually be told there's something wrong.

Been away on holiday, then the kids,wife and I all got sickness and diarrhoea whilst there, only just started to go.

Put my name down to do a truck pull for charity on the 30th of October. For a good cause so thought I'd try, even though I've never done it before or have any idea if I'm anywhere near strong enough to do it. Don't care about trying to place high or speed just would like to compete the course and not fail the people sponsoring me, will have a good go anyway

5 mins cross trainer

Went outside and done some pulling with my mates car, him inside and on the brake, using different pressure.
Had the harness and rope set up and done it 4 times just to get a feel. Fun!

300 tyre 1 flip whilst putting it back lol but I'm counting it

Count that tyre flip!

I always count individual flips as sets at that weight...i.e 15 flips = 15 setsWink

Thanks mate.
Yeh he's cracking mate thanks, just started to eat properly again after been bad all holiday.
Other than that he's fine and trashing our house as good as you'd expect a little boy to!

My mate showed me some banded back stretches that Donnie Thompson does, body tampering or something, felt great though!

Thanks mate, felt tonnes easier today.

Backs ok feels back to normal now, could do with doing that stretch once an hour lol, thanks for showing it me ;-)

Just dicked about tonight really, no real purpose about what I was up to. Was nice to hold some sort of heavy weight in my hands again with the shrugs, as light as it was. Don't even know how long it's been since I've put 100k on a bar for squat or dead.

Left biceps in f**king agony now I'm home, hopefully just cramped up or something. Rushed one tonight, my sons really ill and I just wanted to be home with him, had to get something in though ready for the charity truck pull sunday

Yesterday 30/10/16

Charity truck pull

Had the flu all week so feeling pretty drained, came 6th out of 9.
Felt like I had it going pretty good, good pace anyway, then the last few metres were up an incline and I lost it there, about 2 metre from the end. Only the top 3 finished the course, also the same three where the truck came from and had trained it every week. But fair play, was a beast up that incline.
Enjoyed it and been wanting to do a truck pull for ages so was nice to. Also raised some cash for a decent cause, think we raised over £1300 all together.
Same time next year I believe so will be bigger and stronger for that one!
