I hit a pb today with a chest infection

Finally got back in the gym today, up against it with the time unfortunately so only a quick one as it's my sisters 21st birthday meal soon. Still feeling the flu a little but way better than I was.

Bench

Bar x 13 x 2
60 x 8
80 x 6
90 x 5 x 4

75 x 1 clean, didn't set myself right for the press

Nice and light hopefully get some sort of consistency going again

Deadlift

180 x 3 x 2 was still using hook grip at the beginning of the set then realised so dropped it and switched to mixed grip and started again. Mega unfit at the mo these two sets wiped me out

Never struggled this much lol was shattered and my head was splitting, probably not helping having next to no sleep every night with the newborn and my daughters ill too so not sleeping. Hopefully feel a bit more energetic once I break up for Xmas and my house is in order

Mate, same issue.

After sleep disturbance there are no deadlift or upper body power left to be found!!!

My Squats though bizzarley are getting stronger.

Headaches from lack of sleep are also a new thing since little Magnus came along...

Lol luckily squatting next so hopefully same will apply to me.

The headaches have been a f**king joke the last few weeks, woke up with it still this morning lol!

Haven't squatted for a month so was expecting to struggle and struggle I did!
Found them very hard so will be nice to get flowing again

My wrist has been a complete mess since Tuesday doing the axle power cleans, the pains still as bad as it was the next morning so trying to find a physio close by. Couldn't think of much more excercises I could do without the use of my wrist and my legs were wrecked so left it there for today

Have yourself a break mate, back off of the cleans and bench... wrists heal fast if given a little rest I find

Thanks mate, it's feeling ever so slightly better today but still going to try and give it 2 weeks.
Docs told me it's tenosynovitus, hopefully in mild form,
Anti inflammatorys for a few weeks and rest and I'm hoping to god that's it.
Going to try and avoid axle at all costs when I can lol

f**kin hell had a throat infection for the last week and have barely eaten anything, lost about 4k and now the mrs has got it. What a game!

Well, I predict a cvouple of pbs by then and perhaps a 170 x 2???

When squating is going well you just know that everything else will fall into place.

Yeh I want a 170 double then I'll try 180.

Little uns wicked mate thanks, piling it on now he put a 1lb and a half on in a week lol.

Had a nice Xmas so far cheers, been quiet, not done a lot just chilled out with the kids and ate take always lol. My daughters 5th birthday New Year's Day so got that coming up.
How was yours mate?

Not bad, went to Norfolk at in-laws, family came over from Newyork and was nice to catch up.

Dont realy feel rested though...

Magnus is nearly sitting upHappy Good to hear Callum is making up his weight and doing well, they soon will be liftin to like their Dad'sHappy

180 x 2 used straps on the last 3 sets to try and keep the pressure off my wrist. Don't think it's the pulling that's the problem anyway more the pressing.
Deads felt harder than they should but been a few weeks anyway.
