Cheers, I shall do the same with 175kg next week and if I manage it with 180kg the week after I reckon il be in for a 215-220kg squat before surgery. Happy

Hurt my knee last night, felt like I hit a nerve or something, anyway, today there was discomfort on normal squats so I changed my planned session.

Knee bends (very partial ROM squats, no belt, high bar)
2 x 15 @60kg
1 x 15 @100kg
1 x 15 @140kg
1 x 15 @180kg
1 x 15 @200kg
1 x 10 @220kg - didn't actually feel that heavy on my back which is nice.

Sumo deadlift, hook grip.
2 x 2 @60kg
1 x 2 @100kg
1 x 1 @140kg
1 x 1 @180kg
Belt on
1 x 1 @220kg - technical failure in my eyes.
Belt off
3 x 1 @180kg
2 x 1 @140kg
15 x 1 @100kg - technique a bit better, still lacking mobility and patience.

Busy week moving to Sc**thorpe getting to grip with where everything is etc. went and had a look at force 10 on Sunday night. Great looking gym, shame it's quite a distance to travel though.

Today went and tried out steel town gym, had a very bodybuilder-esk vibe to it. Owner was really nice though, I think il train here until I'm ready to get into a proper training cycle post op, since I can just pay for single sessions here. Has plenty of machines etc which will be useful and add in some variety. I didn't have any of my gym kit, just in normal trainers so did a bit of a bro session with a friend.

Pull-ups
10 x 5 @bw

Bench - close grip, paused.
1 x 5 @20kg
1 x 5 @50kg
1 x 5 @60kg
1 x 5 @70kg
1 x 5 @80kg
1 x 3 @90kg - surprisingly not that bad.

Close grip cable row
4 x 10 @Ascending weight each set.

Some kind of plate loaded shoulder press contraption
1 x 10 @empty
1 x 10 @10kg/side
2 x 15 @20kg/side
1 x 8 @40kg/side

Plate loaded pull down
1 x 10 @empty
1 x 10 @20kg/side
3 x 15 @30kg/side

Alt db curls
3 x 12 @15kg

Face pulls/push downs
3 x 12 @Ascending weights.

Hanging toes to bar, very strict
3 x 10

Not a session that I'm used to, but something just to keep moving. My lower back has been quite uncomfortable from the bed here, hopefully it will ease off. Il be at Vulcan on Saturday in Hull to get some squats/deadlifts in for the week. Not ideal circumstances but il make do with what I can.

Being at this site is however, very good for revision. Due to the lack of nightlife and/or other things to do.

Change of scenery today, I trained at Vulcan. Went quite well.

Squat - low bar, narrow stance.
1 x 3 @70kg
1 x 2 @120kg
1 x 1 @140kg
Belt on
1 x 1 @180kg
1 x 1 @200kg - flew up.
1 x 1 @210kg - misgrooved in the hole which messed me up, but I stuck with it and finished the lift. Need to hold my position better.

Cheers fellas! Post surgery I won't be 'testing' my strength so much as training to build it, so this will probably be the heaviest single for a long while. To be honest today I was lazy and did the singles instead of rep work.. Grin Roll-Eyes

Cheers V, I knew I wasn't gonna fail it based on the 200 beforehand. I just messed up my knee position on my right leg so the rep massively slowed down before I could get it back into position to finish the lift.

You maintained a great position mate no rounding great lift I squatted 110 x 6 Cool today
