Why thank you! Grin

Preserving caloric intake - more important than - where the calories come from.

And that's been just about the only thing I managed to actually eat! Aside from shakes.

Managed a bit today on a tight schedule.

Squats - competition style.
1 x 5 @20kg
1 x 3 @100kg
1 x 2 @135kg
1 x 1 @167.5kg
1 x 1 @180kg - very easy.
7 x 5 @135kg

Enjoyable, but struggled to breathe due to coughing. None of the sets were hard.

Still not 100%. 76kg today.

Sumo (all Beltless and hook grip)
1 x 3 @70kg
1 x 3 @120kg
1 x 1 @170kg
6 x 3 @177.5kg
1 x 3 @200kg
1 x 3 @227.5kg - some kind of PB, video, need to sort my start position out on heavier weights, speed was good though. I would've liked to go heavier, maybe 240 x 3, but after watching these back, the bar path was all over the place and given that I couldn't stop coughing after the set I decided to call it a day. I'd like to hit somewhere around 250 x 3 beltless later on in the year at this kind of speed.

Still not back to full health and very busy with uni work this weekend so a very quick one.

Standing DB press (about 20-30s rest between sets)
1 x 5 @12kg
1 x 5 @14kg
1 x 5 @16kg
1 x 5 @18kg
1 x 5 @20kg
1 x 5 @22kg
1 x 5 @24kg

Db row, very strict (similar rest to above)
1 x 12 @20kg
1 x 12 @22kg
1 x 12 @24kg
1 x 12 @26kg
1 x 12 @28kg
1 x 12 @30kg

Db curls
2 x 12 @14kg

Sled
3 x 2(25/30m track?) x big sled, 60s rest.

Ended there, coughing too much again.

Yeah it was good just to get moving a bit, after spending yesterday more or less sat down all day and the same this afternoon I needed to do something, and I've not done much upper body stuff at all recently either.

I shall look forward to this 230 x 2! You will have to record it. I'm busy tomorrow.

Thanks dude!

Almost healthy again, still a residual cough.

Squats - Low bar, narrow stance, beltless.
1 x 5 @70kg
1 x 2 @120kg
1 x 1 @150kg
1 x 1 @160kg
1 x 1 @170kg
1 x 1 @180kg - hips not quite in the right position so only a small jump in weight.
1 x 1 @182.5kg
3 x 7 @130kg

Bench - it's been a while! Hands on the edges of the knurling (narrow).
1 x 5 @20kg
1 x 3 @40kg
1 x 2 @60kg
1 x 1 @70kg
1 x 1 @80kg
1 x 1 @85kg - could feel my shoulder wasn't quote right.
2 x 12 @50kg

Sumo deadlift - Hook grip, beltless.
5 x 2 @70kg
1 x 1 @120kg
1 x 1 @170kg
2 x 5 @150kg - really trying to be patient with my hips and actually make the most of the positional advantage of sumo deadlifting, I think it's weaker like this now, but if I'm gonna be pulling up around 300kg in the future, technique needs to be improved. Video of these and top squat set on my instagram.

Abs/prehab
10mins

Sled/sumo deadlift, slow, more for mobility whilst recovering between sprints.
5 x 2/5 @sled/70kg

Enjoyable. Now off to the library to finish this essay..

Lower back very fatigued going into the session, I did have ~200g of carbs an hour or so pre workout though. Also, I can breathe again normally now and cough has pretty much gone! Grin

Squat - very wide stance, low bar.
1 x 5 @20kg
1 x 3 @60kg
1 x 2 @100kg
1 x 1 @140kg
Belt on
1 x 1 @160kg - lost my balance at the top and stepped backwards.. Whoops.
1 x 1 @180kg - RPE 7-7.5 I'd say, bit of a balance issue I wasn't quite centred on the bar causing my left hip to shift. I can see this being a stronger stance for me in the long run, once I get the technique right.
4 x 5 @135kg - Fun!

Bench - close grip, paused, a constant fight to hold my shoulder in the socket and press the weight makes for a hard movement!
1 x 5 @20kg
1 x 3 @40kg
1 x 1 @60kg
1 x 1 @70kg
1 x 1 @80kg
1 x 1 @87.5kg
3 x 9 @60kg

Conventional deadlift, beltless, hook grip.
1 x 3 @70kg
1 x 2 @120kg
2 x 3 @145kg

Sumo deadlifts, beltless, pause just off the ground, hook grip.
2 x 3 @145kg - knees and hips in a great position, good.
1 x 3 @170kg - very good.

Pull-ups/back extensions
5 x 5/10 @bw

Shoulder prehab
15mins

Video of squats to come, any pointers on the wider technique welcome!

I have shoulder problems whilst benching mate now I don't bench all the way to my chest I do like a spoto press and lower the weight til about 1-2" off my chest then press and I only feel my shoulder when It's really cold doing that same reason I squat to a bench because it doesn't hurt my hips and I'm getting stronger so being safe is better than being injured iv realised lol

Good work Happy

Yeah, no point in ding t if you're gonna be doing strongman and it gives you aggro!

Squats - narrow stance, low bar.
2 x 3 @60kg
1 x 2 @100kg
1 x 1 @140kg
Belt on
1 x 5 @170kg - very slow.
4 x 3 @170kg - kept 1-2 reps in the tank on every set, then decided against an 'amrap' set at the end as my mid back was feeling fatigued.

Bench - close grip, feet on the bench due to back.
1 x 5 @20kg
3 x 7 @60kg

Pull-ups/curls/shoulder prehab
15mins

Back feels fine now, just a bit tired from the squats.

Enjoyable!
