After this il probably do sumo 2-3x/week and light conventional or some kind of SLDL id imagine.

Yep, 100% sure I'm following a plan. Wink

Volume started moderate, increased, and now is dropping off as the intensity is going up. Despite the amount of 1rep Pb's in hitting, none of them have been a true max yet.

I'm happy to share the whole spreadsheet with you, only I don't know how to upload one here! Happy

Id say that's a terrible idea if you did! Its been a very aggressive training block which I think only worked because im coming back from injury and have done these lifts previously. Grin

180kg x 1 - Fast, probably the best 180kg I've done.

Bench
20kg x 5, 5
40kg x 3
60kg x 2
70kg x 1
80kg x 1 - Not fast enough.

Edit: Also rehab stuff..

I think this taper has come at just the right time, which hopefully sets me up nicely for the weekend. 77.3kg this morning, so plenty of weight to play with. Hopefully come into this British weighing closer to 80kg, not in a rush though, next years British is the more important competition.

All England powerlifting championships yesterday.

Weighed 76.5 before leaving my house, after a long drive, got there, to a nice venue. Ate plenty of food and had some water, weighed in at 78.5kg. Set openers to 180/87.5/180.

Squat
60kg x 3
100kg x 2
140kg x 1
165kg x 1

180kg - Good lift, 3 whites. Felt tough unracking it on the carpet though.
190kg - Good lift, 3whites. Unsure of myself I went for the sensible option.
195kg - Good lift, 3whites. But misgrooved but still got it. (Gym&comp) PB.

Bench
20kg x 5
40kg x 3
60kg x 2
80kg x 1

87.5kg - Good lift, 3whites. Easy.
95kg - Good lift, 3whites. Easy again. (Comp) PB
100kg - Good lift, 3 whites. Smooth, a bit more there. I considered more after 95, but I really wanted to hit the 100 milestone. (Gym&Comp) PB.

Going into the deadlift all I wanted was to beat my last comp total of 502.5, so I knew I had to pull 210 and set that in my mind for a third attempt.

Deadlift
60kg x 3
100kg x 2 - felt so smooth, I changed my opener up from 180 to 195.
150kg x 1
180kg x 1

195kg - Good lift, 3 white lights.
210kg - Good lift, 3 white lights, mission achieved. (Gym) PB
222.5kg - Good lift, 3 white lights, (Gym&Comp) PB.

517.5kg total - Comp PB

Very pleased, all PB's since rehab and all beating my last competition showing with more left in the tank.

Owen competed to and was very impressive. The comp was very well run and something I would recommend people to compete in if they get the chance!

A few days rest then back into a volume block and restarting coaching with Bryce Lewis again.
