Well my hand is now ready to start strengthening and getting mobility back,

This is how my hand is looking now

There's quite a bit of scar tissue, especially in the back of my hand, it's raised up and feels quite hard, so has anyone got any tips on how I can start breaking this down? Also my wrist and fingers are very stiff and I cannot clench a fist fully yet or bend my wrist down or back fully.
I've got physio on Wednesday, but if anyone can give me a bit of help on how I can improve things myself at home it would be great fully appreciated.

I would wait to see what the physio says, before trying anything too radical someone over the Internet says, that looks like a very nasty injury that you don't want to make worse

Fundamentally you'll be increasing strength and mobility. Something easy likea stress ball or a big sponge for reps

That's a nasty looking injury.
I would suggest getting a tennis ball and simply try to squeeze it. I should imagine this will be the sort of things the physio will get you to do. As for the scar tissue not really sure what to suggest other than massaging it with something like a squash ball might help. Just suggestions, I'm no Dr or expert.

A friend had a bad injury including losing a finger, they had him put a sheet of newspaper on a flat surface and put his hand flat on top of it, then slowly scrunch it into a ball. It's very light and involves lots of flexing and extending of the fingers and hand.

Cheers guys.
I've just been keeping it working for now (flexing fingers, trying to make a fist etc) and also been rolling it on a squash ball, that's all I'll do for now, seeing physio tomorrow so will see if they give me any other exercises to do.

At a GUESS, I'd say squeezing a tennis ball (has much more give than cricket balls etc). Extensions against an elastic band or two, maybe some light pinch grip stuff.

I'd say wait and see what the physio says though.
