Bench Press

60kg x 3 x 2
70kg x 3
80kg x 3
90kg x 3
100kg x f
95kg x f

Need to become wiser with my pressing. One max day on a Saturday and DE day on Tuesday.

Four Board Press

80kg x 5
100kg x 5

One, Two, Three, Four, Five Board Press Run

80kg x 2 reps on each board

Push Press

60kg x 3 x 2
70kg x 3 x 2

First time I’ve done these in a long, long time.

Normally squat day but I woke up with the runs. Stomach felt dodgy all day so squatting was not wise!

Close Grip Pull-Downs

10 reps x 8(?) sets using various weights. All strict.

Barbell Rows

50kg x 8
60kg x 8
70kg x 8
80kg x 8 x 2

Seated Rows

10 reps x 3 sets using various weights. All strict.

Face Pulls

10 reps x 5 sets using various weights.

Bike

10 minutes

Sled Pulls and Drags

Cheers. Pressing is relatively weak compared to my overall poor strength so need to work harder on bringing it up. Also to beat you to a 120kg bench press.

I was going to just so I could beast through a good bit of my thesis, but since all my lab work is done I can work from home so more time. I'm going to squat with Andy, then do some deads etc.

I see. That kind of sucks. The gym is quite a nice place when you're not there.

I'm coming along slowly but steadily with that 120.
Every time I bench it's like this but I'm shouting "Namonster Namonster Namonster"

Haha. You need to make sure you're locking out though.

Wise pressing is the key for me. Duncan is good where in other workouts i.e. box squatting, deadlifts etc, he's carrying me along. With pressing I either miss sessions or double up on a session with robocop where I'm not getting full advantage of variance. Totally my fault. Yesterday it was decided that we stick to shoulders on Tuesdays and bench on Saturdays. robocop/Andy may do his upper back on Tuesdays and I'll do some speed bench once my shoulders are knackered. The tin man pointed out that I have no pec power; I also have no pecs lol!

As detailed by him he's focussed on building up my tricep power but I don't have the pop from the bottom. My form is also crap where I wriggle around on the bench. Trying my damndest to stop that but on heavier weights I start doing it.

120kg here I come.
