And to add the box sqaut is not the same movment as a sqaut its similar but not the same people often think its just like your doing a sqaut but sitting on a box

I think your giving the guy a hard time. All these exercises have it's place as assistance work. Just don't get bogged down with them, analyse your weakness and use the appropriate exercise to assist. These should be done with hypertrophy in mind, high reps good form.

My opinion is them exercises are more for aesthetics, and as pagan said should be more for muscletalk, i fear this forum is being dilutedGrin ..Leg curls work the hamstrings from the knee area were as romanian/sldl work the hamstrings from the hip area which has more carryover for lock out on deadlifts..
Would lads training for a drag medley train leg extensions??

Agree with Martin. All have their place. Leg presses for reps are a very good exercise

Large pile of crap right there!

She is dropping onto the box with no weight on her and having to rock forward to begin the ascent! Using the upper body to generate momentum.

Aside this the whole having to leg curl nonsense, look at her leg, it is not moving until the upper body generates the force to being the ascent. This is also why it seems that all of Louies students have to wear 'loose briefs' so loose it takes 3 people to pull them on.

He has sold a principle to the unschooled masses based upon several strong lads training at his facility (note they were strong before) and hit these super numbers in American federations squatting higher than a weather baloon and strangely all having relatively poor deadlifts in comparison to thier 'squats' and I use that term loosely.

He is a joke in the strength community, no different to Dr Atkins selling so many books selling a modified keto diet to the masses.

The purpose of a box squat is to generate dead stop force in the squat, you use exactly the same line as a power squat to do this. If you would fall over without the box being there then you are simply doing it wrong.
