Training at Monster Gym, CheshuntWarm up, treadmill & dumbbells.
Bench
Warm up
Mixed between pinky on the rings and first finger
Few sets on 90 for 5s
Few sets on 100, 105 for 4s - didn't feel strong. Gonna work on my wide grip, reckon its got good potential.
Incline bench
8x60kg
5x80kg
1x90kg
1x100kg
1x105kg - mate thought I was gonna fail but I had it, failed the second clean attempt.
Log - each first rep cleaned then push press.

2x4x67.5kg
2x72.5kg
1x77.5kg

1x85kg, failed first attempt.
Loved the log, my first go on one. Didnt realise they had one there and left my belt at home. Had a play around with some s**tty Velcro belt. No good!

Really fun workout, loved it at Monster. Felt really lightheaded at the end of the workout, was training for over 2 hours.

Monster gym is near me! (Well its a 40 min drive and I dont have a car but yeah)

Cheers mate. Whereabouts do you live?Bench has felt really heavy recently. Need to work at some easier weights.
Also working a wide grip at the moment as I feel I can rep well with it, just need to get used to the heavier weights, so I can feel more stable with it. Definitely feel I've got some decent potential with it

Get the technique dialled in and you should be good for more weight. I find a wide grip is good for me if I can keep my elbows in as much as possible

Yeah I know mate. A friend keeps trying to tempt me into a night out round there on a Monday. Apparently there's a club that does a crew night with all the flight staff. Meant to be a decent night. Have you been?

Oh you mean Fountain, with the 'crew lounge' or whatever they call it. Ive been a few times and it is so incredibly small and hot in there. Drinks are mega expensive (well compared to uni prices). And I did not spot any flight staff or uniforms or whatever. however, embarrassingly it is probably one of stortfords best/biggest nights out, apart from a friday in Bacchus. The Star pub on a saturday or friday is always heaving though if you want a slower paced evening.
At the end of the day a night out with mates can be a laugh wherever you end up though.

Yeah it's a small town but there are some good nights. Post-night out at shekos2 is compulsory though!
Yeah I'm at nottingham uni, all freshers events last year were wristband only, and they were given out in halls. So if you can get hold of some then you'll be good!

Really good session. Wanted the 5 reps on deads and squats with those weights and got them. Probably had a 6th rep on deads, but left it there. Squats were good, hard but nice confidence with them.

Grace - 30x60kg clean and press for time
5.12 PB previous time 7 mins dead. Had encourage from a few mates and paced myself better.
Circuits
2 rounds with a minute break in between

Want to work up to 3x10x100kg this year. Even one set of 10 on 100 and I'll be happy!

Rest of my body was too sore to do anything other than chest. Just had to flop down on the bench as my abs hurt too much! Forgot to have a little pre workout meal, so suprised energy wasn't down too much. Had lunch at 2, trained at 7.
