Some good events for you if your in top form. If you can win log and place well in the moving events and also get around 400 in the deadlift, you should place pretty high.

Right come one folks, less than a week away, what's everyone's predictions? My unbiased (all based on what i've seen/ read) is:

Events:-
- log for reps - Hixxy, Edd then Loz/ Oberst
- max deadlift - Tel, Loz, then reckon 3rd place will be split between Mark/ Hixx/ Ed
- yoke - Loz, Hicks, Tel
- loading - Tel, Loz, Hicks or Oberst
- shield carry - Oberst, Loz, Tel
- stones - Tel/ Hicks/ Loz/ Mark/ Oberst - think this will be silly close

Overall - Loz, Tel (on countback), Hicks

If Terry is at or close to his best cant see him being beat TBH

Qualification for Hixx will be alomost entirely down to how he does on the shield carry IMO...he is strong at all the other events

Think Ed may lose too many points on the moving events finish top 3

Suprised no-one mentions Pritchet..he's a very very capable SM

I think edd will be lucky to be in top 5, his 380 dl at englands looked far from comfy, and his log for reps isnt great. And he cant move well.

I dont know either of the americans so cant really invilve them in my prediction, but i think it will be
Terry
Loz
Hixxy

Hixxy is good with the shield carry, as long as he doesn't make any serious mistakes he will qualify.

Im gonna go with Terry, Loz, Hixxy top 3. Hixxy's training lifts have been mental this past while!

Also keen to see how Luke gets on against the bigger names, hopefully he surprises a few.

aye mate, but its all relative (as in he was good when against similar sized folk)

when your against guys with 8ft arms, likelihood is they'll also be very good Grin

as you say, i think (hope) he'll qualify though

Logs looks right.
I think Felix also comes 3rd in DL, with Hixx 4th and Ed 5th.
Yoke sounds right.
Hixx to win loading (was fast in WSM opening event)
No idea but Loz probably place high
I think Felix will win stones.
