There's a fine line between showing how incredibly strong they are, and showing how they're not strong enough. I prefer seeing guys do incredible feats rather than fail at impossible ones.

I also think there is a fine line between showing how strong they are and setting such incredibly high standards it causes guys to push the envelope too far to attain the standard, thinking of what happened to a recent Arnold champ

Some people like little boobies i like bigger boobies , your never gonna convince me that little bitty tittys are better than huge shapely round bouncy boobies and vice versa Wink

Nothing wrong with failed lifts. Doesn't affect entertainment value, in my opinion.

I think Martin has a point, you can argue it's not directly related but how heavy events are clearly play a role. Death shouldn't be a part of strongman

True, just remember 2002 Arnolds for example with the 166kg Apollons axle , nobody remembers all the guys who didnt lift the axle but everyone remembers Mark Henry repping it . Thats an iconic piece of strength history the fact the other guys couldnt do it should take nothing away from Henrys performance.

I personally would love to see Big Z moving with 750kg on his shoulders

Do you think he would move with that on his shoulders?

I remember the thread vaguely from the last Arnold's and everyone's opinion then was its too heavy.
Me personally if some incredible achievement is made like Ursus points out then it's just as incredible to watch, but if by some chance they all barely move or get no reps it'll be a tad boring.
Anybody doing a 750kg yoke will be pretty bloody amazing though!

If anyone walks with a 750 yoke they will be declared as a god and worshipped accordingly.

As if.

I think hixxy would do the best out of all the brits. Being short helps with that deadlift and he's one of the best log presses out there.

Being totally honest its not my idea of strongman but as a stand alone comp why not. I actually like the yoke idea but wish it was 8-10m. Reason its not my cup of tea is 4 events, 2 being overhead is excessive and I personally think itll be boring to watch but I guess everyone has different opinions on what is the best way to test someones strength. Im Im just wondering what will happen when lalas locks a deadlift out and the tyres are still on the floor

Arnold's always strikes me as a comp that is boring to watch in its entirety, but always has some awesome highlights.
