Until recently he held the BWLA uneqipped deadlift record @ 90kg (now held by Dave Carter)

29/06/07

Block pulls (mid shins)- 220x1, 230x1, 240x1, 250x1 (=pb), 260x1 (new pb), 272.5x0 (bit unrealistic lol!)

Squat- 120x2, 130x2, 140x2, 150x2, 160x2, 170x2, 180x2

Rack holds- 10s x 4

Great session today. Used the feet closer together style and it felt great. Very happy with new pb from this height (1 of the best lifts this year). Normally this poss is weeker than of the floor by +10kg. Leading up to 1st comp in jan I did 250 from this height and went on to pull 260 at the comp. so as I have just equalled my deadlift pb it bodes well for the British in sept.

Not only that but I have video footage that I'll try and post this weekend. 20th century here I come Wink

Cheers Ben, but I am an unequipped lifter so its off the chest that is the problem. I do lockout work but the very small ROM movements I just do on the odd occassion.

I like your 'living dangerous' style!

» How Much Upper Back Work Do You Do? (Go to post)29-06-2007 @ 10:50
I try and do about 4 exercises for upper back a week. Normally some heavy rows (dumbbell)then lighter pulldowns, bent over raises and maybe some seated dumbbell cleans. Most of the light stuff is done for shoulder health, but I do love my dumbbell rowing!

For a big back though, its deadlift time! Am assuming we all do that one Tongue

I saw him do the Great South Run in 96 or 97! He didn't do too bad for a big lad. I could tell he wasn't that far behind me as I could hear the chants of 'BRUNO!! BRUNO!!
