It would probably. I like the idea of two feds though. Tested and none. It does mean there is an avenue for people whom want to take gear and means one less reason to be a sad f**ker and cheat in a tested fed for a plastic trophy in a niche sport Happy

I lift in a untested fed, and probably as many as 70% of the lifters are not on anything at all.

ABPU is a tested fed anyway.

Mutliple feds do. A tested fed that wants to do it's best to limit drug use and support of feds that allow drug use isn't.

If you want to lift on British Powerlifting and another fed then it's actually not a lot for work to check whose banned and go from there. If people don't want to that's fine too Happy

Technically its "British Powerlifting' now.

You can lift in another fed as long as you don't lift in the same comp as a lifter whose on a ban from the fed. If you lift internationaly then you won't be eligible for 'IPF' comp selection for a year..IIRC.

Think those are the main points.

Yeah I can see now - suppose it all depends if you want a big SSB lift or big training effect. the SS one is horrific in terms of humbling weight reduction, but it stresses the entire erectors and lower back/hip area like no other exercise I've tried not even deadlifts from defecit. I hate and love it with equal gay abandon

Good call. All depends what you want from the movement.

I see the rogue one weighs 32kg.
Bet that is far stiffer than SS one, padded bit looks wider and fatter

Its a very good SSB. However the angle where it cambers means its not as rough on the core etc.

Well if you have the dosh why not!

As an aside not used the bas***d bar but would be v surprised if its up their with the Ohio bar which is in the same league as an eleiko.

Enjoy it!

Great kit. Ohio bar is about 1/3 that of an Eleiko bar and very close to being as good. Other bits of kit I have used of theirs has also been very good

I wouldn't worry. I know a certain Strongman that PMd a member here a few years back about trolling ranting about finding him and giving him a jolly good biffing around the ears The member gave him his gym details and invited him over for a chat but alas nothing happened.

I say carry on trolling. I enjoy popcorn!

May as well get Rogue Ohio. Excellent bar. Around 1/3 of this cost of the eleiko bar and compares favourably to it

slimsim said:Do Rogue make calibrated plates? Are we talking about Rogue that make appear heavily in the Crossfit community? If so then I'd say there bars are a millions miles away from the quality of an Eleiko so I'd rule them straight out personally.

New Rogue bars are excellent and not far of an Eleiko, and 1/3 the cost (Rogue Ohio- IPF approved). I use them at my gym, and they were used at recent Arnold comp. Are Eleiko a bit better. Sure but the Rogue Ohio is probably the best value powerlifting bar atm. I'd certainly take it over an Ivanko bar regardless of price

I used to squat in front of one of my conference posters to cover up the mirror. Mind you I would blue tac it on reversed so not distracted by actual content of said poster

that's a big cut with such a short restoration time, how did you perform on the day?
i've wondered if the likes of chris duffin, matt kroc who talk of 15kg+ cuts to make 100kg actually perform anywhere near they did at the peak of their training or just a smaller amount better than they would have had they hovered around 100kg for the entirety of their training cycle.

Helps when you have 24/48hr weigh ins and can take methylated teen et al. on comp time. Still cannot be 'fun'.
