Hello guys, been looking to put up a journal for a while, I'm liking the atmosphere here, and it is lowkey enough.

A little about me...
After ignoring good advice and deciding to drop to 90kgs and finding out the hard way that I will be too weak at that bodyweight, I have decided to return to the 100kilo, Don't really see myself doing a comp in the near future, so most of my training will be exploring new ideas, addressing weaknesses, lots of raw training, eating and bascially just having fun with it.

my tendons in the old foreman were killing me there, was pissed off, so just left it there.

Deadlifts ( suited sumo )

202.5 ( 8 sets of 3) - was meant to use 192.5 but misload, oh well
BB rows - 60 (3 sets of 8)
Close grip pull ups - bodyweight(3 sets of 8)
Stiff leg deadlifts - 130 (3 sets of 8)

That was my first week on the ed coan routine (http://www.powerpage.net/coanphildead.html)
Decided to do it sumo because I have been toying with sumo recently and it feels ok. Using a projected max of 320kgs so it is going to be hard work Grin .I think I will have a reasonabe shot at 300 at the end of the cycle if 320 doesnt fall.

Left it there, was meant to do front squats and some curls to help my tendons but got lazy and couldnt be bothered Unhappy , will need to sort that out.

80x5,110x5,3* had to cut it short, as my tendons were starting to act up, still happy with that as it was much better than last week.

Ez Curls - bar + 20kg - 3 sets of 15.

Ran out time for the assistance circut, was a really tough session due to a number of reasons, will need to get my act together next week If I'm to continue this routine.

did you ever get used to the metal deadlifter or was it a no-go ?

im gonna try deadlifting equipped again, but its an uncomfertable experience, as you know

Well I did try the metal, also a centurion, I'm using a titan deadlifter for the sumos, but tbh, deadlift suits are still a bit of a misery for me, you just never know, and I never gave the suits I tried enough time to get used to.

How do you like the chains mate? They're something I've always fancied trying but it seems like it would pretty expensive to buy a set.

Yea I f**king love the chains man, I have used it on the three main exercises with sucess, box squats with chains is my fav, It shouldnt be too expensive to set-up if you have training partners that are willing to chip in with the costs.

pick me old mate - do you think rope with weights (0.5 / 1.125 + 2.5) tied at different heights would replicate chains or does the weight need to me more 'uniform' ?

dont know mate? not sure bout stability, will the weight unload at the bottom position as it does with chains, sounds quite flimsy. but you never know until you try Grin Cool
