Lovely squat sam!

Thanks guys x

no wonder you take it for a romantic walk before squatting it!

look at the likes of milanichev and how short/precise his walkout is.

If you're planning on lifting in more meets where you need to walk out then it would pay to get that bit sorted.

good shout, not seen them before. Cheers

obviously a 3k rack is going to be better than a £750 rack, however it doesn't need any of the bells and whistles other than band pegs, surely a 3mm box section cage is going to be pretty similar to another 3mm box section cage?

I'm after a power rack with band pegs, commercial quality for sub £750

is this possible? Any links?

I've seen the strength shop Riot cage, any reviews on that?

Cheers

cauliflower mash is also very good if you squeeze all the water out of it pre-mashing.

Tearing my acl and not getting it diagnosed for 3/4 years didn't help my progress much.

Not that I was ever going to have the world's biggest deadlift....

What I said when I was 15 probably should have been taken with a pinch of salt...

Happy 10th Birthday Sugden Barbell!

Who knew it would evolve like this?
» £10 bet with Joni (Go to post)26-08-2016 @ 15:28
there was another bet between Joni and I for the 250kg deadlift which i won, and he paid at BSM 2008 i think it was.

I feel the same with cheap tyres people stick on cars/bikes. You can have the best car in the world's but if you stick some £40 tyres on it it's going to be nowhere near as good as it could be.

i dont know if better pads and a tweak would be all it would need, or upgrading is the only real option?

You realise that the forces will be the same on the rotors no matter what set you have on right? I'd suggest that you were braking far too fast to be honest.

yes i understand that. but the brakes don't seem to stop me very effectively at all, to the point where it's quite scary. Especially compared to the basic shimano hyrdraulic discs on my mtb (obviously not expecting a cable pull hydraulic to be the same as a full hydraulic, but closer than i currently am).

I know I don't. I've probably topped out at that and no more. I bought a bike with disc brakes for a reasonUnhappy

I discoloured the rotors trying to stop at the bottom Eek Eek Eek thats what the extra weight will do!

Looking at these as an upgrade - http://www.bikeradar.com/road/gear/category/components/brake-c...

i guess the road surface makes a huge difference to the feel.
