Sivvy, thats the attitude mate. Its novice comp - no reason to fret over how you place because its all down to luck. There will always be super strong mutants there who should already be in the Open category, and there will be people who just want to have a go.

Just hit the push presses hard, and if possible try to get to try the real log before the comp because there is definitely a lot of technique in it.

yea like i say, i dont care, aslong as i can acctually move it/lift it/press it once ill be fine

i'm going to try and get down to the yard at portsmouth over the holiday

» Carls Powerlifting Journal (Go to post)20-07-2007 @ 23:18
what do you mean??

the grim grim reality is 180kg squat isnt gonna happen in 40 days 140 bench and 230 deadlift will, 220 deadlift was my original aim, but i got that Grin i wanted 3 plates a side bench, 4 plates squat and 5 plates deadlift

i got 175 but then f**ked up my knee playing rugby, stud went into my knee and sliced it open, i've got a pic somewhere, and i couldnt squat heavy for a while

however i hate to say it but i'm fairly confident that that 175 wouldnt have passed at a comp this is however since i have seen the white lights of proper technique, as you can see from my vids on youtube, full ROM would have been there, technique wasnt so i didnt acctually BREAK paralell
